    Changing pins

Well maybe you didn’t quite understand what you wrote then. If I were to change a pin, but kept the balance point the exact same. Both shaft and butt weigh the same as before, you’re implying that the hit of the cue won’t change. But the ‘hit’ is only changing because of a shifted balance point...

    Changing pins

Are you implying hit and feel are the same thing? If I change the ferrule and tip on a cue, are you implying I’m not changing the hit since the weight and balance point didn’t change?

APA screwed our very own sleinen out of a national championship

You’re completely clueless in this thread. Take your bullshit and hate somewhere else. The APA is the only league that has any sponsoring of anything Pro related. CSI is promoting, not sponsoring. You’re a ****wit with no clue.

Revo with 5/16x14 and white ferrule pad?

His best bet is to just wait a few months. Otherwise he’s just gonna bastardize the shaft.

purchased a sanded Revo shaft.....any health risks??

So what are you out, $500? Get scammed that hard you’ve gone all butt hurt?

APA screwed our very own sleinen out of a national championship

For the APA that’s incorrect. In normal league play, the balls are required to be put back by the opponent. No option, required.

purchased a sanded Revo shaft.....any health risks??

Do you honestly think your going to last around here? Seriously. You couldn’t be bothered to asked whether or not the integrity of the shaft was compromised first? You’re going to face far worse health effects due to your lack of mental aptitude in life. Take the shaft back to whoever butchered...

purchased a sanded Revo shaft.....any health risks??

You can get as offended as you want. These new carbon filament shafts are a completely different animal. Those outer layer strands will run from the joint to the ferrule/plate/tip/whatever. Any sanding will have a direct compromise on the stability of the shaft. You’ve been hoodwinked.

    why so many kicks/skids?

Pretty sure it shows that skids are stroke related. You don’t get to declare it doesn’t just because you’re opposed to that viewpoint. Ever see a someone after a match setup the shot they had go bad on them? Usually they make it the second time with no pressure because they don’t screw up their...

APA screwed our very own sleinen out of a national championship

So basically what happened is poor score keeping at the local level caused handicap issues at the national level. Whoodda thunk?

I've been asserting if you take away the trick cue

One out of thirty times is a great way to be correct.

Determining tip brand name on used cue?

Maybe someone wants the same tip that’s on there and no one can tell for sure? Certain cues will use different tips for different shafts, can sometimes compared to a stock tip. Otherwise, there are ways to tell certain tips. While others are quite hard. Pics or there’s no help.

    why so many kicks/skids?

It’s nearly impossible to get a kick/skid on a shot over 60*. It is still possible to throw a ball all the way up to 89*. I don’t think B.B. nor me are confused here.
  16. H

    why so many kicks/skids?

No. I’m saying that due to the conditions in front of you, if you get a skid, it started with your poor stroke. No. Call it a deceleration if you want. A failure of proper stroke contact.

APA screwed our very own sleinen out of a national championship

That was said sarcastically after 20 pages of shit after we learned Russ completely misled the forum about what happened.
  18. H

    why so many kicks/skids?

A skid/kick is when prolonged contact/extra friction causes the cue ball and object ball behaves in a manner that causes one or both balls to possibly bounce, a distinct sound difference. Along with both balls to not follow their respective lines of contact. Differing from throw which has no...

    why so many kicks/skids?

By the application of the chalk at the contact point you have changed what the conditions are for a proper stroke. It’s a test designed to showcase, to the maximum, what a skid is. But the shot can still be stroked in such a manner that it doesn’t skid.

    why so many kicks/skids?

He can use his ruler, I’ll go find my yard stick. Has anyone ever gotten a skid, and still gotten the position they we intending to get? I’ve never seen it happen. I’ve never had it happen. Talk all the ‘at the moment’ it happens all you want. The stroke breaks down, and incorrectly hits the...
