    1st threaded ferrule

Yes, 1mm on some. Don’t go getting your panties in a bunch because you don’t believe it. And before you go getting out of control on your soap box, I’m not having trouble getting the tips to stick. My problem is when installing a break tip that literally has zero flex, there is no glue in the...

    1st threaded ferrule

I don’t care how perfectly flat I can get a ferrule. If it’s just going to deform under the stress from a miscued break shot. Then it’s a garbage ferrule material. I’ve witnessed at least five different people(who I put tips on for) miscue while attempting to ‘power’ break. All of those miscues...

No Matchroom restrictions on International 9-Ball Open

i don’t think the participation in that event was even a question. The question is, if someone participates in the Matchroom promoted US Open, and then competes in the International Open. Would that then bar them from competing in subsequent Matchroom promoted events? Your post doesn’t answer that.

    Ferrule problem / choices

I would confirm they’re in fact hairline cracks first. The number of people who have come to me with a ‘cracked’ ferrule that’s actually just a weird scratch is absurd. I’d say I’m out $2000+ from not doing ferrule replacements just because I cleaned the ferrule first.

    APA League MVP

That same strategy is applied to quite a few different professional sports as is and shouldn’t be seen as something bad. Players who can’t accept how it is are the same people wanting participation trophies.

    APA League MVP

Except that’s now how things work. There are 3 tiers in 8 ball, 4 tiers in 9 ball. Each tier gets their 4 MVP’s for the session qualified for the MVP tourney. And you don’t understand my point. My team, for 9 ball consisted of a 3/3/4/4/6/7/7/9 SL’s. In order for the other players to get weeks...

    APA League MVP

That is stupid as hell. As a 7/9, when I would play 9 ball I was limited on the number of weeks I could play. It’s 4 weeks for the mvp standings eligibility, set by the head office for a reason.

Balls that jump on to the rail and roll back on to the table

Forget where to look for this, but something about playing surface of the table and object balls. Basically every interpretation I’ve been given is; the cloth of the rail is good, the pockets are good to contact the top of. If a ball contacts your cue, chalk, clothing, hair, or the wood/laminate...

    Inlays in the forearm ...?

If ones cutter isn’t centered, and they’re unable to figure out to find it. I’d be willing to bet their bit isn’t perpendicular to the cue either.

The original quality is poor. Thus the uploaded quality is poor. Cmon now.

Break Stats -- 2021 World Pool Masters 9-Ball, May 2021

Honest question, maybe AtLarge could answer too. Which ball(s) was made the most, and to which path did they take. I caught a couple highlights but nothing else. Because what I’ve noticed as a trend doesn’t necessarily mean tight pockets are needed.

    How Does?

After watching it with more time to spare and watching your video. It is doing both. The cue ball is air born and causing the 8 ball to jump, and to double hit the cue ball. It causes the cue ball to go off to the side more, and leave what I consider to be a worse position. Had he hit it flat...

    How Does?

The cue ball hits downward on the 8 ball. That causes the 8 ball to jump up. Since the 8 is now airborn when it hits the 9, there isn’t the same stopping power from a full hit. And it travels forward.

    Fedor vs Shane

Current World 9 ball champ is all he is. A weakling........ Edit:no one bit on my joke for April fools day. Must’ve sucked.

Getting inlays added to a cue?

what happens when the cue is a production cue and it’s easier to afford modifying it than ordering a custom? Asking for a friend.

Rate my Game... 10b Ghost with commentary

Playing on a home table doesn’t teach you proper routes. Doesn’t matter if you feel you’re in line or not. A couple of your harder hit shots could have been avoided with better route selection.

    Billy Thorpe gone wild!

It’s ok, your me me me attitude is quite on display here. If the one guy who could get Earl to not explode during his events couldn’t get that concept through to others that Earl’s negativity was harmful to the sport through. Then I don’t know how to explain it any differently that won’t make it...

    Billy Thorpe gone wild!

From 1990 to now, how many TD’s are still around? How many sponsors have dropped from pool? Yes he could have helped more than he did. In a perfect world this whole issue with Bill and Rob wouldn’t have been possible. They would have been sleeping. The tournament would have held their attention...
