Mezz Ignite Carbon Fiber Shaft repair

If it were mine, I'd probably remove the current ferrule, shorten the shaft by 1/8" to remove the crack, and install a new ferrule and tip. Just my $0.02

WTB - Mezz Ignite Shafts - any joint

I am in the market for 3-5 Mezz Ignites. I am flexible on joint specifics. 30" length would be great but I can live with 29" if that is what you've got. PM me if you have one or more you want to sell. Thanks!

Looking at a Meucci Casino 10

I have owned over two dozen Meucci cues over the year and never had a single one with a problem. I currently own over 20, most unplayed, none with an issue, some going back over 20 years. In my Collection are also the Diamond Ebony version, their top of the line. It competes very well against...

    Snakeskin Wrap Supplier

I wouldn't have dared posting if I hadn't already done the search. The one supplier that came up several times only sells cues now, no supplies..

    Snakeskin Wrap Supplier

Having a hard time finding a high-quality wrap supplier. All of the embossed leather wraps I've gotten lately are very stiff and very difficult to install with a decent seam. I'm primarily looking for EE and Snakeskin.

Simonis 860 vs 860HR for home use

Given my background, I have to assume that the costs to produce are primarily associated with the manufacturing process of the fabric itself, not the dye color. I am 100% willing to admit that I may be wrong about this, but I suspect that I am not, thus happy to be proven wrong.

Simonis 860 vs 860HR for home use

That size table, go with the 860, you can get whatever color you like. I had grey and loved it. I went up to a 9' table and moved to a more humid environment so went with 860HR in blue for it. Great table. I, like you, wish more color options were available, I miss the grey.

    VCGT Cutters

I recently ran into a repair guy at a tournament who was busy doing tips and ferrules. I didn't recognize the rhombic shape of his cutting tool. He told me it was a VCGT and a total game changer for the cut quality and durability. I've been searching to find these and did find VCGT on Amazon...

    Ariel Carmeli Joint Protectors

Looking to get a set of these made with the AC logo and rings to match my AC cue and shafts. Any recommendations about where I might be able to find them would be appreciated. Ariel is not making them right now, I've already spoken with him about it.

Kielwood shafts snapping during turning, strange oscillation.. can't seem to figure it out.

I want to thank all of you for the comments and one person in particular who reached out to me via PM and helped me sort this issue with Kielwood out. I made a number of changes based upon his recommendations and am now back to turning really nice shafts and nearly 75% less time! I kept my...

Ready for a CNC, not sure Spindle or Laser - searched posts but no relevant answers - thoughts?

I'm new to the whole Cue Making process (2-1/2 years). As I've posted before, I do NOT consider myself a cue maker despite making and selling a few dozen merry widows and tons of shafts. I have the usual suspects, CueMan Deluxe with ball screw feed, live threading, taper setup, drill press...

    Sanding tip prep for install

I use 220 grit paper, and the bed of my lathe (best hard and flat surface I have). Push down on the tip and do figure-8. Clean both tip and ferrule with IPA. Lightly score both the ferrule and tip before final glue up. Never lost a tip in hundreds installed.
