What is the One Major Player Flaw You See Most Often At The Pool Hall

That and if you do make the tough shot it can install a bit of fear or respect in the Heart and mind of whomever you are playing against , which can become a slight mental edge because they may think he made that tough shot what do you have to do to beat him ? It's simple , run out the table !

What is the One Major Player Flaw You See Most Often At The Pool Hall

When left with " a tough shot " chances are I also will give it a try nothing ventured nothing gained , right ? First and foremost this is a game not life or death ha ha So you will either be a hero or a zero if you take the shot or play a safety , yes I enjoy winning as much of not more...

What is the One Major Player Flaw You See Most Often At The Pool Hall

Another fault I notice is they swing out their grip hand away from their body which in turn throws the cue ball off to one side or the other then they wonder why they missed the shot . I lovingly call this chicken winging it .

    Any McDermott Cue Players?

I've got a C-18 McDermott cue with 3 shafts that I've played with for many year's or until I needed to be a dad to my kids , then when I started playing pool again I was working out of town when a water pipe broke and soaked the cue and all 3 shafts didn't fair very well or did the linen wrap ...

I agree when met Earl Strickland he was still playing with his Mike Gulyassy custom cue with either a 14 or 15 mm shaft , I was tempted to ask him if I could take a shot or two with it but it was late in the day and he appeared to be tired so I didn't ask . I do however miss my cue with the...

Greg I understand how you must feel , the same way I feel about my 13.25 mm or the 13.50 mm shafts I have played with over the years .

This reminds me of back in the days I'd be checking the gear oil in the head of a windmill , I'd tie off the fan with a very heavy rope no matter if it was dead calm or a slight breeze because once you stepped up and onto the platform the wind would pick up . Or it would suddenly change...

do the pros outweigh the cons when using quality shaft wax?

It would be interesting to hear what anyone had to say after using it on their wood pool cue shafts .

In all honesty it was more than likely all the years I've spent working outdoors in all sorts of weather either extremely hot or cold fixing a water well or windmill and getting my hands wet and wearing chore gloves because insulated rubber gloves were few and far between . Then hunting and...

I've enjoyed playing pool with 13 .50 mm shafts for many year's then shifted back to 13 mm now my main playing cue has a 13.26 mm shaft . With another cue that's 12.50 mm or close to it , the bottom line is it depends on how good or bad my arthritis is doing that day and at that time ha ha .

do the pros outweigh the cons when using quality shaft wax?

I've got two shafts that have been treated with Longoni wood shaft wax and love the results and haven't been around any shafts treated with Rennaisssance wax to compare the two , with that said I can only go back to what Mike Gulyassy mentioned was that he used Longoni shaft wax with...

Anyone clean their tips on the carpet before putting it back in the case?

Actually we've got a form of acid on our skin that if you were to be at a creek with spawning fish trying to go up stream , if you were to put your hands in the water the fish stop and won't continue up stream until you remove your hands from the water . Sadly I can't remember correctly the name...

Anyone clean their tips on the carpet before putting it back in the case?

On occasion I'll wipe the tips of my cues on the carpet before returning them to my cue case , but chances are higher that when I wipe down both cues with a cotton handkerchief I'll also wipe the tips off also .

    Chin on cue

I'll refer back to Frank McGown and his advice to me after the first time my neck was fused , he suggested a American / European stance or a combination of the two . Your results may vary ha ha

    Chin on cue

After having my neck fused twice there's no way in the world that my head gets close to my cue on a regular basis while playing pool , so yes as a 64 year old player I use a more upright stance that works very well for me which is relatively pain free .

Well Brian , it was worth a shot , more than anything I was just being a wise guy with the Mento's comment . Thank you for not sharing the details of what is needed to get that reaction as all it will do is get me into bigger trouble than I can normally get myself into as it is ha ha !
