    Traditional wood shafts making comeback?

after a long hiatus, I broke back into pool. I started with a peach then added a rogue and pro plus shaft. Btw the pro plus plays same as the rogue. I then acquired a a jacoby and later a black shaft for it. That Jacoby is the laminated cue butt. I believe it's their cheapest cue. It is lovely...

    Conversion Cues by Unknown Makers

What does a conversion entail? Every unknown cuemaker has landed on about $950 for a conversion. Thats all well and good but try selling it for 950 . Not likely

    Conversion Cues by Unknown Makers

If a guy named drexler converted a titleist or gilbert let's say, I would be interested in spending some hard earned money but what I'm wondering about is unknowns or nearly unknown. Many on these forums.

    Traditional wood shafts making comeback?

When revo made its appearance they were close to 500. A joss maple was around 125. Of course now maple cues cost more but revo has stayed the same

    Traditional wood shafts making comeback?

I'll admit i drank the Koolaid on carbon fiber shafts. I've got three. They never come out of the case since I purchased an Andy Gilbert cue. His plain vanilla cue shafts play splendidly as do a few other cuemakers I've purchased. I believe that hype was manufacturers . Far easier to make a cf...

Are Gold Crowns Still Being "Diamondized?"

Did you notice a big difference going down to 4.75? A friend got a diamond with pro cut 4.5 and our pool group thinks it's too hard. Sorry to ask so many questions but most people on here want the pockets at 4.25 or even 4. I think you have to be a helluva pool play to like that. I live in a...

Are the new Tariffs on Goods from China going to affect prices on Pool cues?

This will cause all cues to go up , not just Chinese. American made will raise their prices. Most already have. The 500 to 700 merry widow is no 1500 to 1800. That's still not enough tho. Jazznpool for example has raised his prices several hundred more as of late. At least that's my observation...

    Mezz Cues

I wanted a mezz but couldn't find what I wanted. That drove me to custom cuemakers. Started with an Andy Gilbert. That in turn caused me to use his standard maple shaft. Not likely I'll go back to any black shaft or composite. Got a runde, barnhart, pierce as well. Their standard shafts are...

Current opinions of an old Gold Crown vs Fiamond

Looked at a gc 1 today. I love them. Diamond are great too. I've heard of issues on the Diamonds that the company won't fix. Some say diamonds use modern materials like particle board. Is that bad?
