    2025 Southwest Cues

I wish I could hit a SW. I hit a joss west and it felt good but not thousands of dollars better than my own cues. I hit a scruggs sneaky and wondered what the hoopla was about. Ended up buying a new Runde that day because that cue felt great. I've got a barnhart, gilbert, pierce, runde. They all...

    2025 Southwest Cues

200 cues x4000 equals 800,000 dollars. Not alot after rent, wages, cost of materials.........And 200 cues in a year is 4 cues per week.. think they make more cues

    2025 Southwest Cues

That would average 10 cues per week. That seems doable with a crew.

Does it seem like everyone is a Flipper / Reseller these days?

Cues are like cars. They cost alot new. As soon as you buy it, worth far far less.now i see any 1100 jacoby used and for sale for for 1900. Where do these jokers come from. I love the jump breaks that some cuemaker I've never heard made made. He only made 5 so I'm listing for 1000. Then bump...

    Cheap CF Shaft?

I've got a revo, pechauer rogue, jacoby black. All cf. All expensive. Bought an Andy Gilbert plain Jane. Hise base wooden shaft is my choice. Runde as well. Barnhart or pierce too. Differences between the cues but I'm just not liking cf. I play better with wood.

Wood vs carbon fiber shafts for top pros - I went through the Fargo top 100 to see who uses what

Yes you are right, it isn't injection molded if the cf is in layer form. But it is molded and im pretty sure it's a mechanized process. If the cf is in resin form it would be molded as well . Maybe not injection molded. I won't be working toward a doctoral degree in it but thanks for your...

What's going on with pool equipment?

Peachauer makes a nice sneaky for 350. P25 i think? I was looking for a heavy break cue. Finally called schmelke and ordered. Bocote into purpleheart with purpleheart shaft with kamikaze tip for 200. I'll take that all day over a rage or jj for 105 to 140. I have to wait a month. Its custom...

Wood vs carbon fiber shafts for top pros - I went through the Fargo top 100 to see who uses what

My feeling is that carbon shafts are cheaper to make than wood. A plastic press just pops them out. With wood the process is more drawn out. At least moreso than snapping a few pieces of glorified plastic together. Wood has to be logged, cut, cured, then you turn it down . Alot of waste in that...
