    A Pool Player's Prayer

May I shoot well and accurately. May I be gracious in both my wins and my loses. May I remember to enjoy this great game for the skill involved and the pleasure that it brings.

Seller shipped cue via USPS on the 13th, but it is seemingly still not in transit. Just shows Accepted by USPS.

Does a standard letter have a tracking number assigned to it?? No. Does a package have a tracking number assigned to it?? Yes. Does the cost of shipping that item include the assigned tracking number?? Yes. The assigned tracking number is there so the package can be, tada, TRACKED!!! Not only...

Hopefully you have it in hand by the end of today. Unfortunately the USPS has become so unreliable for shipping anything that even their "out for delivery" message can be meaningless. It is a sad reality to expect extended delays and poor tracking any time a shipper uses the USPS.

J&J pool cue case users - satin dividers or fiber tubes - preference?

Cost is a factor. I checked out the JB site and I like a couple of the cases in the Rugged line. I'll continue to look. Thanks for this info. The tubes do look more sturdy.

J&J pool cue case users - satin dividers or fiber tubes - preference?

I'm shopping for a new pool cue case. J&J has a couple of 4x6 models that look good. Some have satin dividers and some have lined fiber tubes. Any pros or cons of either style??

    Adam Cue Identification

I picked up on of these off Ebay this past summer. I believe it is a DX8. I mated mine with a JFlowers carbon fiber shaft. I like how it plays in that configuration.

    USPS....

In 2012 the USPS reported a 15.9 BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! Then 12 years later, in 2024 the USPS lost 9.5 Billion!!! A union run "business" that is protected by the government regardless of their financial losses. There are zero repercussions to their failures and inability to provide the services...

2025 Derby City Classic travel update

That would be great. That area is confusing enough without having to deal with construction.

League players pre-game rituals and venues.

Try to work on lag speed. My home table is an 8 ft. The tables for the leagues I play in can be 7 ft., 8 ft. or 9 ft. depending on the location for that night. As you can imagine the tables play differently at each location.

Turning wrist inwards during stroke. Need advice.

I was able to find a brace today at Walmart (https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mueller-Reversible-Wrist-Brace/5490588991?classType=REGULAR&athbdg=L1103&from=/search). Practiced a bit tonight with it. It provides good support and keeps my wrist stable. Also it is not heavy or thick in the palm area so...

My first DCC trip this year

Unfortunately Louisville has been on a steady decline for quite a while now. It's a shame. Downtown is the worst and it has been spreading outward and unchecked. Anyone staying in Louisville please be mindful of your surroundings. I drove a semi-truck for an LTL company for 17+ years in that...

Turning wrist inwards during stroke. Need advice.

I have done something similar to this except I used a section of a paint stir stick and an Ace wrap around style wrist support. Worked briefly this morning with the Ace support and the metal insert from an old carpal tunnel type wrist brace my wife found. Same concept but the metal insert is...

2025 Derby City Classic travel update

For those traveling through Louisville, KY. and using I-64 Westbound to access Indiana: Be advised that the Sherman Minton bridge that connects Kentucky and Indiana is under construction. Please use caution as the construction may cause delays, lane closures and lane shifts.

Turning wrist inwards during stroke. Need advice.

I am right handed but left eye dominant. I shoot right handed. I am having a problem with turning my right wrist inward during my stroke. I thought I was getting this under control but over the last few weeks I find myself doing it again. I am wanting to try a glove to help prevent this...

My first DCC trip this year

The event used to be held at the Executive West hotel (now the Crowne Plaza) in Louisville but moved to the Caesars Casino in Elizabeth, Indiana (in 2009?). From Louisville airport the trip shouldn't be too long but give yourself some extra time. The "spaghetti junction" area where you would...

My first DCC trip this year

As someone mentioned, the casino is pretty far from, well, anything!! Make sure to give yourself a little extra travel time to get there. One tip I would add is to eat before you go. There is food available but you are going to want to spend your time taking in the event.

4 cues dinged up by visitors - repair?

First thing: make sure these "visitors" never enter your home again. Second: Apparently an adult made the video of this willful damaging of your personal property. I would be contacting the children's parents for an explanation of why they thought this was acceptable behavior and to let them...

    Best break spot/technique for 7' 10 ball?

I was experimenting with this just a few days ago. For my style of breaking I found that I got my best results from a straight on or very near straight on break. I have just started playing 10-ball so was needing to find my break "sweet spot". For me breaking from the side wasn't giving me the...

Adam cue model identification help thread #1

Just bought this one off of Ebay so no idea of age. Not really concerned with rarity or value. Would be neat to know any info I can get on it.
