Recently purchased an Adam cue (I think it is a DX8 model). Came with a hard case. Cue is in very good shape but the case internals smell of mildew, and the smell is also on the linen wrap of the cue. What can I use or do to remove the mildew smell from the linen wrap??

What type/kind of ferrule and tip are on the Adam cue?? Also are the threads of the joint pin on the Adam damaged?? Or is the depression in the threads a trick of the lighting??

I had the phenolic tip that came on my budget break cue changed to an Ultraskin Heavy Hitter. I did not like the sound and feel of the phenolic type. For me the Ultraskin HH was a definite improvement.
