RKC glued down cloth installation video

Glen...watched your video several times and I very much liked your step by step approach and explanation. I have a few questions, please. If I am doing a stapled install on my 9 foot GC 1, can I use your same step by step approach with staples rather than glue? I am planning to use Championship...

    T rails vs flat rails

So..if you agree that T rails, or even if you don't, play different than flat rails, what is it that makes the difference. Antique tables vs gold crowns for example. I know that the bolting down to the slate is different, vertical vs horizontal, but assuming that all bolts are solid and tight...

    Question about cushion down angles

Glen, st the risk of another wrong answer.....i suspected that the reason for having an inward down angle at the pockets was to provide room for compression that would not be there if the face was at zero degrees. That seems to make some sense to me, and the only reason for more angle like 15...

    Question about cushion down angles

This is no doubt a dumb question, but I have to ask it. The OB makes contact with the cushion at approx 1 7/16" above the playing surface. The same is true when the OB hits the cushion end (inside the pocket). How does the down angle of the pocket cuts have any effect on the CB and how it enters...

    Expert advice and assistance

Following up with some additional information on the 1939 "20th Century" Brunswick I have just completed. I took these corner pockets from 5+ inches down to 4.5" and 5" on the side pockets. Having read everything on here about antique tables and wanting my table to play well I took great pains...

    Expert advice and assistance

Yes, there are aprons that attach to the pocket castings and they are in nice shape. I just haven't gotten that far yet. There is also a ball rack that mounts on the foot rail end above the ball return, nice to have for one pocket. Ok, the tape....you prolly can't see in the pictures, but I...

    Expert advice and assistance

I recently purchased an antique 1939 Brunswick "20th Century" 9 ft table in almost pristine condition. We removed the dried out cushions that appeared to be k66's. But, the information on here was that this table should have the k55's. We bought and installed the k55's, and when I went to test...

T Rail vs Vertical bolt rails

So, if I add a 2x4 to the back side of my T rails (opposite from the cushion) it will play better? :)

    Captain Bob Manzino Cues

Thanks for the offer. Did I mention that this is likely the oldest Manzino cue on the planet.....this cue gets a lot of attention wherever I play with it, it always has....

    Captain Bob Manzino Cues

I have no idea what it might be worth...do you? It is straight as an arrow and hits extremely solid, comes with Bob's joint protectors and original shaft and an added shaft, both straight also.

    Captain Bob Manzino Cues

Bob began making cues I think in the early 90's (prolly around 93 or 94) from his small shop off of Dixie Hwy in Boca Raton, Fl. He frequented the room I was playing in at the time in Pompano Beach, Q Stix on Sample Rd. We played a lot of one pocket and a lot of golf on a 6x12 snooker table in...

    One Pocket Rules

Ratamon, That's funny, man. Would you believe that in the last year I had proposed on one pocket.org a rule they ended up calling the "moving forward" rule that worked just like you described. Rather than subtract a ball from your side when you commit a foul, instead you give one of your balls...

    One Pocket Rules

Larry, I try to be nice to you, but you make it very hard to do. I have NO idea what your CASE is. You have added nothing to the discussion to consider other than your "brick wall" defense of the status quo for sake of the status quo alone. This thread would not have gone on for the last five...

    One Pocket Rules

Appreciate that Ratamon, that's all I can expect. Consider how many situations the incoming player would actually return the shot. I don't think it would be that many. I think it would be limited to the"tapping" type fouls mostly. Thanks:smile:

    One Pocket Rules

Larry, This is a thread about a potential rule change for one pocket: you don't have to respond. If you have nothing to say about my suggestion as to WHY you think it is not reasonable why do you think you are the appointed defender of the status quo? I know that any two players can agree on...

    One Pocket Rules

Appreciate your thought. The option that I am suggesting could apply to any foul whether a pocket scratch or failing to get a rail after contact or anything else. I don't consider the option a penalty, but rather a sort of protection for the incoming player after a foul is committed. The...
