Cart before the horse. You have to figure out how to get exponentially more spectators in before you worry about down time to peruse vendors. All the time in the world doesn’t matter when you only have a few hundred people at the most.

Means you didn't have it locked in as well as you thought. There is no other way to explain it.

Trump Reverses Obamas Elephant Trophy Ban

Reading comprehension is apparently lost on you........two tourists and a hunter. Also, I wolunteer 3-6 weeks a year on that continent. Unprovoked attacks into a villiage is fairly rare. And, most of the money from trophy hunts never makes it to those villiages or to the wildlife conservation...

Trump Reverses Obamas Elephant Trophy Ban

I’m definitely not anti-hunting, but when people choose to hang out around what is essentially a monster. I don’t feel too bad when things happen.

Sometimes you just have to take a chance. Send him 15k and see what he sends you back.

Again, why does anyone give a shit? It doesn't affect you whatsoever that this guy is going in the hole to play in APA.

Their US Amateur Championship rules have different wording. It basically says a professional is someone who makes the majority of their living either playing, teaching, or exhibitions. He is none of those.

Has to do with how you make your living. If you're a world class guitar player who is an attorney, are you a professional guitar player??

The real reason men are better at pool than women

You’re dealing with this guy: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=431161 And the year before he posts he had his first B&R....... So, a year later he’s hustling guys out of their action.

So, you think he should not be allowed to play in the APA, thus taking away a hobby from him because he plays well? (Also fact, APA considers a pro as someone who makes their living playing pool)

    US Amateur

I could see the other side if he had something to gain. If he was making a substantial amount of money by winning or if he was making a living playing. But just to prohibit him because he’s winning, especially since most people that complain aren’t the ones he’s beating deep in tournaments...

    US Amateur

Unfortunately a lot of talent doesn’t show up for the event because there isn’t much of a reward for placing. So you’ll only get people who really love pool AND can afford to go.

    US Amateur

Guy has made a bit over 21k since 2000. Watch out amateurs, this guy robs us of about $1300 every year.......
  15. V

    US Amateur

Oh yea, he’s totally robbing an event paying more for travel and boarding than the entry fee he wins to the “pro” tournament that anyone can enter.

    US Amateur

Again, who gives a shit? The guy plays pool as a hobby. Let the guy play and have fun. Someone has to be the best amateur. If not him, it’d be someone else. This soft society we’ve evolved into’s first instinct is “let someone else win,” instead of “maybe I should get good enough to beat him...

The real reason men are better at pool than women

I don’t know the numbers, but even if men averaged half a ball more on breaks, in the long run that would be huge.

The real reason men are better at pool than women

Your bodybuilder argument doesn’t account for diminishing returns and/or terminal speeds. Dr, Dave would be the one to comment on this, but I’d imagine either A) there is an optimal speed range and once you go over it, it matters much less or B) once you get to a certain speed the cue or object...
