    I really like it!

So, I did a little bit more cue trading this week, as one is prone to do, or, at least, as "I" am prone to do, and ended up with a brand new Meucci Economy Cure (what a name) Model cue with carbon fiber shaft.I really like this cue a lot. First, I like the Economy Cure design. It comes in...

No new Cues Til Things Straighten Out

I was a kid when TCOM came out. In fact, I remember being with my dad AT the pool room, when a commercial for TCOM came over the t.v. Wow...time flies. My kid is out of the house now. I've retired once. And I like to buy cues.

Then they'll say. "Wow, you've never seen me play - you must be really good. I need a big spot." (21st century pool)

Journey to join the Pro tournaments ?

Go into the pool room, approach the first person you see playing pool and ask "want to play some?". It's that easy.

What cues are the pros using these days?

Doesn’t look like his SW shaft to me. Doesn’t like like his Southwest shaft to me.

What cues are the pros using these days?

This is an old thread. And Jayson played REALLY good with that Meucci. Tons of titles with it. I've jumped aboard the Meucci train with the pro-shaft and I really like it. Tony Chohan has adjusted nicely to it.

    Traditional wood shafts making comeback?

Play with what feels good. If you can really play (have good fundamentals) you can switch between shafts pretty easily and still play at a certain level. Everything deflects to some degree. That isn't a concern. From there, it's just a matter of what feels good. When you are adjusting to a new...

what pros play with maple regular deflection shafts ?

Maybe some of you are over-spinning the ball. For most shots, if you play position for the right angle, you can stay on or near the center axis. I've switched back and forth but always come back to maple shafts. Way more feel. In fact........I've been playing with a new entry level Meucci lately...

Help with info about a "Color of Money" Design Joss cue with Mike Sigel in the joint?

There was a player in Ft Walton Beach FL in the 90s who played with one of these. He was a monster, and later took 3rd in the US OPEN 9 Ball Championship (the year John Schmidt won). Great cue!

    Schon Cues

This arrived this week. Wonderful taper, balance, hit, looks. This is how all Schon cues should be.

I like Kamui Soft, and I like the Predator Victory tip.

Does it seem like everyone is a Flipper / Reseller these days?

Sometimes you pay for reliability, service, and security. Those add intrinsic value if you're buying a big cue. (And I've never bought from Crossroad Cues - just stating the obvious)

Does it seem like everyone is a Flipper / Reseller these days?

I've been buying and selling cues for 30 years. Unfortunately I've always seemed to buy high.....and sell low, LOL. But I love it.

    Any McDermott Cue Players?

Great point, Fred! Yes, Evan and I used to talk weekly and he told me McDermott and Schon stories. Brilliant guy.
