Medium Roast vs Dark Roast ( non cored )

I really hope there is some kind of non-racist reference I don't get here...

    Machinist level question

If you think the carpenters level is actually straight, which it likely isn't too the tolerances pool tables specify.

    Shaft wax/polish

Random guy telling a respected cue maker how to do his job. Love it. ATCM ftw!

Shoot a Million Balls? Give me a break.

If it took me 30s to make a ball, I'd kill myself. Machine gun Lou ran 150 in 22 minutes. Do that math.

Pros or cons playing with light shaft (approximately 3.0 oz)

You ignored everyone who thinks you don't know shinola.

    Pool play that irritates you!

I'm absolutely the best person in the world who played in my 400 ltd neighborhood pool tourney. It was invitational only and I don't like people or writing invitations.

    SS pin weight

You'd be much better off boring completely through, or mostly through the pin to achieve a 25% weight reduction. If we imagine a .375" screw as a solid rod at .313" (approximately the screw pitch diameter), you would be about .156" through the entire pin which leaves you a relatively thick wall...

    SS pin weight

I don't think I even have a photo anymore and I've since lost touch with the people who had them. It was wild. Weighed about the same as a penny.

    SS pin weight

I made a mold of an existing pin, then I inserted the CF tube in the mold and cast urethane around it.

Refinish/Paint Gold Crown Pool Table Light

Yeah, I'd be hard pressed to paint mahogany. I'm a huge believer in automotive paint for this kind of stuff. Summit Racing has great paint at reasonable cost of you don't have your heart set on a color match.

    SS pin weight

I see no problem with it. Removing a quarter of the material from the inside won't compromise the strength in any way that is detrimental to use in a cue. I made a few pins that were cast threads with a hollow carbon tube core, they held up fine. What's the worst that happens? If it breaks...

    Bumperless butt

I'm with you, which is why I do the small leather bumper with the exposed bolt head. It is a minimal compromise in the sound and feedback with some level of protection. This isn't that uncommon. I've seen enough butt caps completely destroyed due to pressure that the rubber will cause when...

    Bumperless butt

Not all bumpers have to be ugly rubber.

Medium Roast vs Dark Roast ( non cored )

Nobody suggested adding weight at the collar. They suggested adding weight inside the shaft at the base. The truth of the matter is that you likely don't possess the knowledge to figure out if this was done on your special shafts without cutting them in half. All the cuemakers who responded...

    Mental game poll

It varies. Playing tourneys or leagues, I'm usually pretty amped up, so I try to relax and get to a good competitive level where the pressure works for me. In sparring matches I work myself up to about the same level.

Pros or cons playing with light shaft (approximately 3.0 oz)

That navigating a golf course properly is the same as getting shape on a ball. I understand your premise, but I wouldn't say that they are similar. Maybe our definitions of similar are different. I am talking about crossover techniques or using lessons from equipment from one support and...

Pros or cons playing with light shaft (approximately 3.0 oz)

All the of those apply to when I was playing foosball. Head still when shooting, control the ball movement to where you want it, set up the shit or pass correctly. That said, the similarity on 2 is a huge stretch. I don't need an argument, but in some way 1 and 3 apply to most physical games...

Pros or cons playing with light shaft (approximately 3.0 oz)

I really don't see any parallels. The stance is different, the swing is different, the scale is slightly different, you only use one ball in golf. I'd love to know what is similar besides a ball going into a hole, in which case it would be similar to foosball, basketball, hockey, soccer...

Pros or cons playing with light shaft (approximately 3.0 oz)

I'm relatively sure that I will understand women and be able to talk to animals long before I understand how a person can use golf as an example as to how pool should be played.

    Machinist level question

No they don't. Not for final leveling, anyhow.
