Playing for cash money in 2025?

If you play for money... What are the average size bets you are using? How much do you bet per game? How much do you bet per race? (# games in race?) Are you playing 8 or 9 ball? How much do you bet to start if your not sure about your opponents speed? How much money do you put in your wallet...

Was it a mistake to get a unilock playing cue? It keeps making a rattling noise whenever there is vibration.

Any beer or drugs at the scene of these crimes? Slip strokes while curling your wrist counter clockwise?

Bulletproof Recoil tips 7 month later

Actually 7 months doesn't sound like very long. I would be interested in an update after 1 year and each year after if you stay with bulletproof for that long. Leather tips don't go bad. They only wear out. I had a cue that I didn't play with much. The Lepro tip on it was 20 years old and still...

Bulletproof Recoil tips 7 month later

I understand now. Is that how Becue markets and suggests their vault plate to be used? Predator vault plates are less than 2mm. They tell you to leave a thousandths of an inch of the old tip and not to cut into the vault plate.

Bulletproof Recoil tips 7 month later

Seems like you would want to do the opposite. I don't think they should be taking off that much of the plate unless it's a hand job by eye. Anyway, if the 2 hit exactly the same I don't get the point of the plate at any thickness. Glad to hear the recoils don't turn crusty.

    APA 9 Ball Races

I have always wondered why the APA uses ball count instead of 9 ball pocketed liked the rest of world. But I actually kind of like APA counting of balls to determine skill. I guess I am looking for some opinions here. Is the better player the one who can sink the most balls or the one who can...

    Older Cue Butts

Do older cue butts hit harder? I was reading that older cues are more dense and thus hit harder. For example: a used cue that is 10-20 years old?

I seen them. Do you break with it?

    I won the Lag

APA needs to extend the 8ball SL to at least 9 like 9 ball. A 550 SL7 vs a 700+ SL7 is going to get murdered every time... I know SL7's that are barely 500 Fargo. In a Fargo rated tourney that 550 would get a 3 game handicap.

Best Cue Butts for Break Cues

I would not use an adapter or mid extension to Frankenstein a break cue. If you don't want to wait 3 months I would say pretty much any Predator butt except for a 4 point SP is what you want. IMO 4 point SP butts have a softer hit than the C4+, 4-Piece, 30-Piece butts. I also think an adapter...
