I think some people are getting confused about your thread title "Wood over CF shaft options". That could be seen two different ways. Perhaps wood on top of CF or CF core wood shaft options might lessen confusion.

This is why I like having all the same threads on all cues. Future proofing. I would simply take my dedicated jump cue and replace the jump/hard tip shaft with my playing shaft. Now I have a 50" cue that goes down to 40". Edit: You have an air rush and a Revo... did you try them?

If you are current with your practice... Right away. Even when being in practice I like to take 1-5 warm up strokes. It doesn't usually take more then a couple strokes to get one that feels right, like everything clicked. 1 smooth stroke is enough dopamine to tell my brain I am ready for action.
