    There's no reason to get nasty. I haven't attacked anyone. I just choose to play by my own set of rules, as you do. I shouldn't have mentioned the 8 ball in my initial post. This is about call pocket 9 ball. It was a bit confusing. Sorry.

    That's my point exactly! Calling ball and pocket does make it a different game. A more difficult game. That's why I play that way and that's why most pool players don't care to.

    Cards are 90% luck. Any game of chance is. I lived in Vegas for a few years and studied the games. Cards, dice, roulette, etc., are for suckers.

    There's always going to be some luck in any match. Even Strickland and Reyes get lucky from time to time. Although Strickland would never admit it.

    The beauty of the game? I don't look at it that way. I've always believed that the more luck you can eliminate from a pool game, the better the game. Can you imagine what straight pool would be like if slop counted?
