A New Pool game...? Yes... Look inside...

"No, it's something completely different. The balls are NOT very different. The thing is they solve an ISSUE which everyone has had. What they DO involves a TWIST which we have all, in some way, tried to do differently at one time or another but have been unable to achieve with things as they...

At this point this is going to have to be the greatest thing since the Renaissance to live up to the hype. It's so simple a baby could play it! But it can be played an infinite number of ways! It's completely new! But the balls are nothing fancy! But you need a proprietary set! It solves...

    Open vs Close Bridge

Right. It's what feels right to you. If you drive a different car than the one you drive everyday, it feels weird. But you can still drive just as good. There's no actual scientific type data that will back a different bridge, none. Just like, "Softer tips increase spin" will never die. If...

    Open vs Close Bridge

Here's the simple proof it makes no difference: thousands of pros in different games have used both over a long period of time, and some use both interchangeably. If there was any appreciable difference, everybody would do it the better way. That's just how it is. There's no arguing with...

I have, and I'm not the only one that noticed that part.

Now that's weird. How could anybody intend to buy sets of something when they have no idea what it is.

Ah, I get it now. I picture there being the big reveal and you go, "Oh that's basically Blurnsball, which was played in Chicago in the early 1900s. Here's a link to a PDF for the rulebook..."

I'm confused. In your very first post you said, "Multiple ways to play the game, like with a deck of cards."

The biggest problem with new inventions is trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist. If nobody on a billiards forum can even think of what the "problem" could be, maybe the problem doesn't exist. Is this going to be the Peanut Butter Pump of Pool Kickstarters? And apparently the balls...

No website, also don't find their twitter or instagram, either. A brand new game that's launching in September 2025 is going to have pro AND amateur matches on TV by 2026? Boy, that seems...optimistic. How much amateur pool is televised now?

Well, get ready to buy another set for this!

I'm guessing this is the "problem" that this new game is going to solve, too.

Why would anybody "commit" for any amount of money without knowing the first thing about what you're talking about? When it's released and people know what it is and they want to buy it, they can buy it. I don't think I've ever seen a "tease" like this work out well. Remember when they...

Somehow Bonus Ball had been completely wiped from my memory until I read that comment. Had to read up on that debacle. Yeah, but now you're required to buy another special set of balls for it!

So everything is basically the same equipment-wise, except the balls look different subtly somehow. So anybody could just play the game by using their existing set and saying 1=X, 2=Y, etc according to whatever the new rules are? You can't really own rules to a game.

Please help with my tip issue.

If your shaft is high with a lot of meat on it, that's good. If it's shaped like 8 cents, that's bad.
