My neighbor is Iwao 'Lucky' Hishinuma. He and his family make some great cues! Very tasteful designs and top-notch craftsmanship, the cues also play great. He learned from some of the best American cue makers.

My favorite is the "plastic" tip made in Japan called Yume. Never mushrooms, needs no maintenance and plays great.

Not saying that the maker isn't japanese (because I don't know the maker) but the symbol isn't.
