    RIP Jointed Cue

It may be that, the owner of the Jointed Cue does not own the property but merely has a leasehold interest. If the owner had owned the property for the last 50 years and was prop. 13 on the taxes and with little debt, that would be one thing. On the other hand, if he has been subject to...

Huge Action Alex Pagulayan vs Justin Hall LIVE July 31 who do you guys like ?

Justin, of TAR fame, had a rule of thumb, you don't bet against champion Pinoys and you don't bet against SVB. Hall would only have a chance in a short race format, IMHO. The longer the agony continues the more the better player puts the screws to you.

    Efren's Bald Spot

I think what endears Efren, to all his fans, is not just that he was arguably the greatest pool player of his generation but the way he handles losses. He understands that sometimes the gods of pool conspire against you and there is nothing you can do. His affable disposition in the face of...

    Cue as investment

I had a good friend of Ernie's take me to his shop in the early 90s. He was just getting ready to finish the 30th anniversary cues he was making. I picked one out and put down a deposit. I played with that cue for years and then sold it for a considerable profit. Its what you call win-win.

I've been playing for years with Tiger tips and I don't scuff them or do anything but put chalk on them.

    What's inside your Maple Shaft?

The technology is not new just new to the pool world. I've hit with Revo and have a myriad of different cues. If I thought Revo was a panacea believe me I would purchase one. Busty killed everybody at Derby City with a plain old maple shaft with a regular ferrule and then stopped by SMHB and...

    Cue as investment

I bought my house from the bank in 96 so I get your drift. I've made great returns on my cues. I bought the bar bell Ginacue from a guy made in the 60s in terrible shape for like 950 had Erine refinish, rewrap and make an extra shaft for 350 and sold it for 4,000. Since the ivory...

    What's inside your Maple Shaft?

SVB won every accolade in the world playing and breaking with his Dan Janes. Fibre ferrules play great. I have a fibre ferrule on my 88 Joss West. The one original shaft I got with that cue is very slim. Its got to be around 12mm. It hits great. Had Ernie refinish and rewrap that cue and its so...

    Cue as investment

I've haven't bought that many cues brand new. I bought a Ginacue 30th Anniversary and a SW new. I had a plain SW I bought years ago for 600 bucks that I traded for a brand new Prewitt. I sold the Ginacue for a tidy profit. My SW is worth in " as is " condition about twice what I paid for it...

    Mike Carella

I've found this thread fascinating. I also read the thread on OnePocket.org. How was this guy MC both a world class pool player and a pilot at the same time?
