He's right. It's half way after it's shaped. It's an 11 layer tip. The black is layer 4. After dime shaping, the outer edge of the tip is about layer 8.

Brother and I donate our time to recover and repair the tables at the AmVets and the American Legion. All they pay is the actual cost of the cloth. We don't make a dime. It's a very small price to pay compared to what the veterans paid.
