Yes. I've had a few conversations with Joel and understand that Spain was a very special soul. The other "bedroom" cuemaker is a regular poster on this board. However, I understand that he's graduated to a larger workspace.
I can take the heat.....and at first I too felt the proposition was absurd but the poll results have me scratching my head. Then again, I thought Scott Frost had ZERO chance of beating Bata even for the cash.
I just found it curious that so many people believed a one-handed Efren could best a two-handed Nevel at one pocket. Perhaps the voters failed to understand that Efren would be playing one-handed. My hope is that a new poll will provide "accurate" results.
BTW: Thanks guys for the great things...
This is hardly pointless...several comments in the first thread were questioning if I had made clear that Efren was playing one-handed. This is a corrected version of that poll.
ATTENTION: Efren Reyes in playing this match ONE-HANDED!
In your opinion, who would win this contest today: Efren Reyes (one-handed) vs. Larry "The Truth" Nevel (two-handed) playing One Pocket on 9' Diamond tables for $1,000,000.00. "Winner Takes All".
A race to 100 might be extreme. Basically...
Good question....I can make another poll with the one-handed part in the title?
EDIT: New poll making the one-handed thing clear now available. Sorry for duplicate polls.
Try rewarding yourself for doing well in tournamants. If you win a match, you get a trip to the strip club, win two matches, you get a lap dance, win the tournament and you get two girls in the VIP room.
I think a lot can be said for making cues in a bedroom. This should have been an option in your poll.
There are at least two legendary cuemakers who had lathes in their bedrooms.
Even though Larry gets to use two hands in the poll match with Efren, I just found a great video of Larry (in disguise) running out on a bar table (one-handed).

I believe he used the name "Jesse" when running the road.
