    Quilted Maple

Being a guitar player, I love the figuring on natural and stained quilted maple guitar tops. I understand that those are veneers, but I am curious as to why quilted maple is not a wood you get to see often on customs (or production cues, for that matter)? Is it that the blanks are expensive...

How do you compare two cues?

After doing a bit of statistics, shooting pool with both, I still can’t decide 😂 I think the fatter shaft inherently has more margin for an imperfect stroke, whereas the thinner one has absolutely no room for error, and is also less effective deflection than the Revo (which is already LD). But...

How do you compare two cues?

That’s a good one. The other day I was at league and practicing before we started, I just wasn’t feeling good with the Mezz, inspite of it having a slightly better feel when I practice alone. I switched over and maybe it was psychological but I broke and ran an 8ball rack that night. Felt great!

How do you compare two cues?

I have two nice production cues that I want to make an objective and maybe subjective comparison of. One is a Predator SP2/Revo and the other is a Mezz EC9 with the Ignite shaft. I like both, but if I want to make a "true" assessment of which cue is better (for me), what kind of drills/shots...

    Predator SP2 / Sport 2 / 9K-3 Azurite

Looking for an SP2 butt or full cue with either 12.4 or 12.9 WVP revo. I’d prefer it in the transparent cat version, will consider anything other than the Tuxedo finish. Also interested in Sport 2’s with wrap if no one is willing to part with their SP2 🥲 or the 9K-3 Azurite.

    How does a cue play?

You could replace “Tascarella” with anything in that sentence and it would still make no objective sense.

    How does a cue play?

I've been fortunate enough to be able to afford and try out a fair variety of cues/shafts in the last 6 years, so I'll put in my 2c: Everyone starts out playing with a house or a basic cue, at whatever age. Some people realize they may have some potential and they like the game, so they decide...
