I can't use a linen wrap - looking for advice

A quick and easy fix would be to try a rubber sleeve over the wrap. Some are very thin and won't add much weight or diameter to the cue. Inexpensive solution easy to install and remove.

How do I train myself to avoid dropping my elbow

When addressing the cueball while aiming your tip should be as close to the cueball as possible. At that point your grip arm should be straight up and down. If you follow throw a perfect pendulum will leave your tip on the felt. You would have to drop your elbow for it not to. Leave the tip on...

    Simonis wear?

860 is 90% wool and 10% nylon. 860HR is 70% wool and 30% nylon. So is 760. When I worked in the pool hall we used 860 on all the tables. The nylon in 760 did not look as good over time. I believe the nylon would lose dye. I have never seen 860HR. Quit playing in 2008 after losing vision thanks...

    Purpleheart Hit

I am sure you could beat me using a broomstick. I have seen that hustle before. Not everyone has unlimited talent. I put a pin in a 1.375 dowel and screwed a shaft onto it. Didn't miss a ball for two weeks.

Southwest cues - reasons for their popularity

Years ago an article came out in Billiards Digest about the pros and their cues. Comments were I can draw the cueball 15 percent farther with my SW. Several pros praised them. Prices shot up over night. Then there is the Kersenbrock effect. I believe him and Jerry worked together for a while. In...
