Do you look at the object ball?

Cue ball last here. You'll get answers on both sides of the fence. "Look at the ball you're trying to hit". I'm hitting the cue ball, not the object ball, that's how consider things. If my alignment is correct, hitting the cueball where I want will send it on the correct line. Bottom line...

What's the best thing to clean a shaft with?

Just a piece of un-dyed leather for burnishing, or a chunk of a paper grocery bag will work. The plain magic eraser, no soap. You can use it dry, or use denatured alcohol to really get the grime off, but just slightly wet. I dump the alcohol on the pad, then squeeze out the excess, then wipe...

    Get a NEW BLACK BOAR...around $6,000

I'm not trying to justify his prices. I'm just saying what are common thoughts on Black Boar cues. My only point was that these WILL sell for that price, if not here, probably over seas.

    Get a NEW BLACK BOAR...around $6,000

Black boars are also known to be great players. There is a lot of engineering in that "plain" cue you see in the photo. Not to worry, there are plenty of people that will pay that price for that cue, even if you guys think it's crazy. Even in this slow cue market the boars still go for big...

    question on case weight

I agree with the Sterling Wave suggestion. I just got mine last week (4x8), switched from a 3x7 instroke. It's a lot lighter and the shoulder straps are so much more comfortable. The only downside to the Wave is that there isn't a top handle, but the side handle is very comfortable as well...

Any one ever seen one of these?

Docs is a retail store in MN as has been discussed. They do repair work, and I'm pretty sure they've done some conversions and so forth. IMO that is where this cue came from, and I would contact them directly with questions concerning the cue. They are very nice people to deal with and I'm...
