    My experience with GO-2

Taking the pilot off is an easy fix for any competent cue maker or repair man. If you can't find anyone, I'm in MN and will do it for free for you, just pay shipping. Or if you just want to be done with it, send me a PM and maybe we can work out a deal for it.

    Hammerhead Break tips

Been using one for a couple years now. Great tip, have tried others and see no reason to change from the HammerHead.

Has anyone tried Piku Break Tips?

I just installed one this weekend. Breaks and jumps good, seems to hold chalk well. I broke around 20 racks with it yesterday and don't have anything complaints. The shaft I put it on had a Samsara prior and this hits harder, but not the control of the Samsara. Not the hard hit of phenolic...

    small head weight screws

I'm looking for 3/8-16 weight bolts that have the smaller head size than what Atlas sells. I've looked around but haven't found any. I've had a bunch of cues lately come in that need that smaller size, and I'm sick of turning down the head on the weight bolts atlas sells. Anyone have a lead...

    Thoroughbred Tips Introduction Giveaway!!!

Been busy so hadn’t gotten the trial tip installed until a few weeks ago. MS - installed nice, cut very easily. Flattened out after a few hours of play, reshaped and haven’t touched it since. Holds chalk, performs as expected. Hasn’t mushroomed at all. A quality tip that I wouldn’t hesitate...

    Leather sealer for tip install

Tiger leather burnisher is what they are showing I believe. It works well. Spit, or cue wax work as well. I find different tips shine up better with the 3 listed above, so I just use what experience as taught me for each different tip.

    Cue care question !

The Q wiz is abrasive and will sand down your shaft. Try a dry magic eraser instead if you just want to get the chalk off. The best thing though, keep your hands clean while playing. Wash them frequently.

    Tip tapering

I tapered newly installed tips slightly, to help with mushrooming. Especially with soft tips, it really helps.

    Help with Break Tips

don't put too much pressure on the tip or you'll squeeze out all the glue, just normal pressure with your finger tip, then apply around the same pressure with your tail stock to let it dry. Make sure both faces are flat, lightly sand each with 220, use good new super glue, Loctite control gel...

    samsara break tip problem

Glue age is a big one, as is having a flat ferrule face. I also like to cut them down about half way. They don't mushroom and really don't require any maintenance, so cutting them down isn't affecting the life of the tip that much. The big thing that it does help with, is on off center hits...
