Jacoby Jump Shaft - Brass Ferrule

I had a customer who's brass ferrule on a jacoby jump cue came loose. He wanted something different so we replaced it with phenolic. He liked the change and said it jumped just as good as before. Your mileage may vary.

    New Tip Job....What Say Ye?

For what it's worth, I agree with Eric and KJ. Eric's statement about the linear scratches is spot on. Also about the "void", here is the instructions straight off OB's website - "If the previous tip and pad came off prior to being cut off, it may have taken some of the center core material...

    Kato Cue Club

It's a great room. Tables play fantastic, and the food is great as well. A room like this was needed in southern MN.

    Need 1/2" brown phenolic JC

I'm in between houses and can't find my box of phenolic in my storage unit. I need 1/2" of the joint size brown phenolic that Mason sold. It gets lighter when cut and darkens with age. Here is a pic of the cue I need to match up with. Will PayPal or send a check to cover the phenolic and...

    Samsara tip

I cross hatch the back with a razor, then glue with loctite. I also trim them down so the side wall is a little more than a nickels thickness. They don't lose their shape or mushroom, so it isn't a big deal to trim them low. I believe trimming them low does 2 things. 1 - they hit a little...

Stay away from the 5 min epoxy, especially if you're not threading them on. Trust me, it's been a hard lesson learned.

    Tip Selection...

Kamui blacks and Samsara. Kamui is more consistent through the life of the tip than Moori, plus they don't mushroom much if at all. Samsara is just rock solid. I've had one on my J/B for 2 years and haven't had to touch it.

uni-loc bullet joint pin & insert?

Does anyone have a uni-loc bullet joint pin and insert that they would be willing to sell? I just placed an order with Atlas and have someone with a Poison cue that wants an extension. Thought I would see if someone has a set they'd be willing to part with rather than try to come up with...

Anyone ever play MOMA tourny in MN?

It's a true bracket, no re-draw. Prepare to pay to park, wether you're staying at a hotel close by or driving from another hotel. That will run you about $15 a day. There are some good places to eat within walking distance, so you don't have to settle for the food at the venue which is nice...

    Rapid Cue Top Sander??

Like Terry said they don't always sand flat. So I would take whatever shafts you're going to put tips on to a repair man to install a fiber tip pad. At least then if you have to grind, you're not grinding the ferrule, just a cheap tip pad. Also, wrap a half sheet of paper around the shaft...

    Stack Leather wrap video

Thanks for all the offers, I purchased a copy from a member here. I've always installed them following the directions in Chris's book. I just wanted to get the Tiger DVD to see if there are any tricks in there to help with the install.
