Interesting! No joint pilots on a Schon? This style of cue is one of my favorite types. If you have the chance to look up "BEM plain jains only" I made a thread a long time ago for cues just like this. Excellent restoration!

Lol, i'm the opposite. I scuff (lightly) every few sessions. No tip pick though. I like my tips thin, so it doesn't bother me. Besides, they're cheap and I replace my own, so I don't care as much about longevity. Anything that gives me piece of mind that my tip won't miscue when it shouldn't...

That's a sweet case. Hard to find handmade cases like that! I found a similar handmade case at goodwill a while back and I love it. Throw some oil on that sucker and make sure the stitching is tight.
