    Southwest type cue

I personally have never thought of it as a dollar amount but a list of criteria. Cue is straight, not warped Tip is rounded and can hold chalk As long as those hold true, it does not matter if the cue is $20 or $20,000 or made by Rage vs Southwest, that cue can be used at the highest level of...

    Southwest type cue

This is the point of discussion, that beyond a certain point of quality cues are all no longer inferior and all of comparable quality and can be all be used equally at the highest levels. Beyond that, it becomes purely psychological and not objective. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Judd Trump to play U.S. Open.................

Skill is skill. Now please don't take it as that's all that matters because we all know that is not the case. All I am saying is that the man knows how to play and that is something that will always translate across games.

    Southwest type cue

I completely agree there are differences between cues, but they are not differences that objectively affect the performance of a cue itself and are differences caused by preference and what one is accustomed to. That is why people say that it’s the Indian and not the arrow or whatever variation...

    Southwest type cue

We will just have to disagree then. All pros can adjust their patterns or side spin usage after a couple of games unless you think they will stubbornly stick with using it the exact same way of shooting. "People want something made to their liking because they feel (and in a lot of cases are...

    Cue Extensions

Just play on a smaller table, no need for an extension! 😆

    Southwest type cue

I disagree. Give them ANY straight arrow and they will snipe just as well. They might not like it as much, but they can still hit the same targets just fine.

    Southwest type cue

The problem is that "best available" is wholly subjective. Heck, even the usage of "better" is almost always 100% subjective in the world of pool. What do we even define as standard? Would it be rolls straight, screwed on type, and has a rounded tip that can hold chalk? If so, then every cue...

Judd Trump to play U.S. Open.................

Yeah, I was primarily wondering which groups specifically were sponsoring this particular decision. Seems like it is Matchroom.

Judd Trump to play U.S. Open.................

Oh wow! I think he will definitely win a few matches for sure. As a pinnacle talent in the snookers world, the skills are obviously there. It will be more of a pattern recognition challenge for him. I wonder who is sponsoring him to play in the US Open?

    Snazzy Pete by Jerry Powers

I am definitely really enjoying how the cue plays and looks, though I still prefer my Mezz with Ignite shaft. I will eventually have him make me another Sneaky Pete, this time with curly maple sleeve + points and snow white maple forearm and shaft.

You are all missing the boat!! Ned Morris cues are the best playing cues I've (and my buddies) played with!

Agreed! CNC is just another tool / skill a cue maker can have to help them create better, more unique cues. It's no different than a hammer or lathe.

I feel that you and others are confusing what a CNC mill can actually do. So first of all, using a CNC mill as part of the cue making process does not mean the cue is being churned out by a computer controlled machine. Let's just understand that and get it out of the way. Whether or not a cue is...

How About this: Let's all tell pool players to NOT buy the factory made cues. SO many custom cues are out there.

I am not sure if it is a tube or a rod, but the deflection of this SP shaft is pretty good. I could have sworn I read that they wanted to get the foam density right for hit feedback. Maybe I understood it incorrectly.

How About this: Let's all tell pool players to NOT buy the factory made cues. SO many custom cues are out there.

The hard part from my understanding is finding the right foam density and then making sure it cures evenly inside the shaft. I am surprised more companies don't go the McDermott route where they have a carbon fiber rod core in the middle of the shaft. My new custom Sneaky Pete I got from Jerry...
