I just got a pic of a cue that is in the works for me currently and thought I'd post a teaser pic. This picture is incredible but I'm only going to show you one piece of the wood that's going into the cue! :D :P Here you go:
This is such an exciting process.
Great site! You have some really incredible cues. I really like the 8-point Hercek and Tascarella as well as the lizard wrapped Bender, the B. Szamboti and the James White!
*trying to find a towel big enough to clean up all the drool*
Great cues Erik! I especially like the Szamboti's, the Bender and the Ebony forearmed DPK. What is the starting price for a Barry Szamboti right now anyhow?
I'm waiting for a couple of friends to get back to me on if they would like to make the trip with me so I don't have my tickets yet, but I'll be there as well!
I was pretty sure it was a boti, but I threw bushka in there since I couldn't remember for sure...lol. I definitely like the hoppe one that he was playing with whenever I saw him last on TV.
Center ball only is for wussies! Efren spins the ball on every shot so that means I should if I want to be as good as he is. I also have one of those new ultra low deflection shafts that are cored with a lead/iron alloy! It's amazing!
Make sure you tune your arm to be able to hit the cue ball with specific and precise measurements. For example hitting the ball at 8 mph with exactly 46 rpm rotating at 110 degrees! :D :D
I do...lol.
I was writing a long post about how I don't obsess over the science of the game and that I play more by feel but then I reallized that it's a waste of my time to write and your time to read. :D
I agree with you that you don't want to drive the cue ball through the rack. However, I believe he may have just used bad terminology here. I think what he meant to say was hitting the apex ball square and full so there's a recoil but no airtime. If this is the case then there is most...
While I've not used an Arnot j/b I would have to say that Andy Gilbert makes a damn fine j/b cue! An added bonus is that Andy's j/b cues are great players as well!
