    RIP Scott Lee

Rest in peace Scott and condolences to the family. We played a few times locally and he had real passion to teach the game.

    I'm guessing he's around 45 now.

Cleaning up and found an old picture

Always enjoyable to find old pics. A young Dallas West looks like Mike Davis to me.

    Mezz Cue with United Joint

    I sent you a PM.

Gilbert's Custom Cues are among the best out there.

I have a Gilbert-Morris collaboration cue, only one in existence. Literally pockets balls and draws for shape automatically. I'll take $8,000 for it. Bob Owen supplied the wrap so I'll throw another $1,000 onto the price.

Traveling to Port Charlette FLA, what is good to visit there?

Sorry I did not notice if anyone was smoking cigars and agree some places do not allow them. Check the drive time on a GPS to head check my estimate as I haven't done that drive. If you do make it there on Mon or Tues and want someone to shoot with, let me know and I can swing by after work.

Traveling to Port Charlette FLA, what is good to visit there?

I'll guess your drive will be an hour to an hour fifteen from Port Charlotte. I have only been to Livingston's twice recently and it's been busy with leagues with few tables open, those were both on weeknights after 6:30. It seemed like a pretty good crowd of people. I think there is a...

Traveling to Port Charlette FLA, what is good to visit there?

Veterans is a decent place, can be tricky to find so trust your GPS. Went there last year and the tables played fairly well. Livingston's is a big league place, will probably stretch the one hour from Port Charlotte. I think they have a 10 ft. snooker table if that interests you.

    Kenny Murrell

That bartender needs educating that N.I.B. is a lovely Christmas tune to get people in the spirit. I mean we can't all sound like Bing Crosby.

Son, son, you've gone too far. Please keep us on topic. Smokin' and trippin' is all that you do.

    Downtown pool rooms.

My search says Bedrock Billiards in DC is still open. I was last there 4 years ago on a visit. Cool place though tight on space.

So ESPN can't find time for pool?

Yeah subject has been beaten to death here. People will watch so it will air. I think cornhole has the Ocho factor working which draws viewers. What's funny is seeing a guy's non-throwing hand empty but cradled like he's holding a beer.

    Ko Brothers and INTEL sponsorship.

Good for those guys, I enjoy watching each of them play. That video link is pretty entertaining. There was no translation but I'm guessing the game was alternate shot with the hope they could run all 75 (?) balls as a 3 man team. If you miss, you're out. It's funny seeing a 20 ball cluster...

    Dave Matlock

I recall talking with a friend who has been around a while and he spoke of a top local player matching up with the "guy who was supposedly the best bar box player", I'm guessing in the 90s. He couldn't recall the name so I asked if he meant Matlock. He instantly said yes and told the story how...

    PROPER MANNER TO LOAD A GTF 1 x 2

I've been loading mine butt in the middle with shafts on either side. It's a tight fit; have to remove a shaft in order to remove the butt. Butt is joint up for me, and shafts are tips down.

1989 Custom Led Zeppelin Cue by Richard Black

And for heaven's sake, do not allow it to be trampled under foot. A proper collector shall give no quarter to those who don't handle the collection with care. Save the wearing and tearing for a simpler player's cue. Thanks for sharing such a unique cue.

SJM Sizes Up the World Pool Championship

Excellent recap as always. I will add that I enjoyed the Matchroom YouTube channel's daily recaps which were about 30 minutes of match highlights.

Does grip size matter to you?

Yes, same diameter from bottom of wrap to buttcap.

Does grip size matter to you?

I've gone back to 1.26 to 1.27 range from 1.22 or so. I think the taper should be a factor too; I have cues with no taper in the sleeve and don't like that. I like feeling some increase in diameter.
