    Cyclop Some Facts

In the OP, notice how the CB is sometimes 2 grams (and change) heavier than the object balls. No wonder people complain about the ball not drawing and/or wanting to run a little long. Geez.

    Felt Billiards in Denver

I'd heard there was a weekly there on Tuesdays, but if I play as bad as I did last night, it'd be embarrassing. LOL

    Felt Billiards in Denver

I tried to get in touch with Samm, but she's out in the mountains this week. I'm considering going back tonight after dinner though, just cuz. :)

I miss playing pool for money

I love how this thread has become an experiment on how to mess up BRINDUN's name. :grinning-moose: As for everything else ... it's all been said. I agree complete with Brendan though. I think Rhea's choices are poorly thought out, though I have to admire the passion and drive to chase a...

I miss playing pool for money

I've only had the chance to play in one of the events (back in March, I think it was) It was a lagger's choice deal. But I hope to get back there soon, it's a great event. People were nice (Zack, Shannon and Chad anyway - I didn't really talk with anyone else). Tables played great. I was...

I miss playing pool for money

Rhea should know Julia's speed, she says she's got even action... Even is what I'd expect to see. Yes, Julia has a table at home, but I know she doesn't use it. I tease her about it every week. ;)

I miss playing pool for money

The Millersberg event is a good one. Usually called the I-70 shoot out, and there's good action at Mo River Pub to be had. Diamond barboxes and 2 9 GCs. Julia is here in St. Louis though. I'm sure she'll play you.

I miss playing pool for money

At Kenny's, it is actually the only 9-footer. ;) We have a lot places like that ... a bunch of barboxes and one big table. Some places have 3 or 5 9 footers, and only place has 15 of 'em, with only 1 barbox. :)

I miss playing pool for money

That table is tough, gotta hit 'em clean or they don't go. It plays decent, but as was previously stated, it's tight and a bit worn. It was set up as a one pocket table, primarily, hence the triple-shim. Just curious - any chance of a rematch, maybe at a neutral location? Maybe The Break...

I miss playing pool for money

Table time is pretty cheap there, 4 or 5 an hour (can't remember exactly). if they break even after 2 sets there's not much left, but if someone wins both sets, they'll come out ahead alright. Still, race to 9 shouldn't taken more than 1.5 hours with these players (and that's pushing it).

I miss playing pool for money

Damn, if I wasn't working today, I'd go down there and video it to put up later (can't do the streaming thing yet, though I'm looking into it). Jay - considering the drive it is for you to get there, I'd at least hang out a little bit longer, afterall - who wants to turn around and drive all...

    Midwest 9 ball

When I was last out there in Olathe, KS the person who normally did the streaming had some computer issues. Plus, I know she has a day-job and it gets in the way sometimes. She usually tries to get at the finals of the 1P and the last day of the 9B. If you keep an eye on the Pool4U ustream...

    Napa national payout issue

This link: http://www.napaleagues.com/page.php?page=registered_players Shows a total of 1195 entries into ALL of the events. That doesn't mean 1195 distinct bodies though, as there was a LOT of overlap between the events. Excel is telling me there were 677 unique names across these 1195...

    Napa national payout issue

Then it's just pure coincidence that the payouts were EXACTLY 40x the number of players advertised as a "full field": 8-ball - $50,000 with 1250 players. 10-ball - $10,000 with 250 players. The bottom line is that there were simply NOT enough players in attendance to bring in the big money...

Some Ideas for Power One Pocket V2 - Looking for Input

The road stories are great, fun bonus content, but as far as training materials go, they don't really "add value" to the product. I like the idea of Scott doing player reviews, he's good at that. I also liked the part in the first disc about running out patterns; maybe expand on that some...

    Rhea

I ran into her 2 weeks ago, she said she'd be around here for about a month before heading out again. I haven't been back to that room since so I don't know if she's still hanging around. But, I was surprisingly disappointed by the lack of improvement I saw since I last saw her (3 years ago)...
