The wife of an F1 driver must know what can or is even likely to happen every time he is behind the wheel. The need for speed never goes away. And you can see from his posture that he's not pushing hard at all.

Political signs at a pool hall? Would you give them your money? Please no politics please just answer the question

I'll have to think about how I can do this. Maybe a YouTube clip downloaded into my songs list? I did something similar with the 1992 NFC Championship game. Had it recorded on VHS, copied audio to cassette so that I could listen while driving. Only had the second half on a 90 minute cassette...

Practice - Make Sure you have Structure

Try Jerry Briesath . Phoenix. I can personally recommend him. Two days with Jerry raised my game more than I had done on my own in 20 years.

Pool Knowledge: What's the last thing you learned?

LOL. I always marveled at the guys who claimed they shot their best pool after several or more drinks. While this may be true for a small group, I really doubt that it holds true for many. I know my game clearly suffers after only one or two drinks. I'll have cocktails with friends and family...

Pool Knowledge: What's the last thing you learned?

I've been playing and have been passionate about pool for over 60 years. I took lessons from a pro less than a year ago (first time taking lessons). It opened a whole new world. I'm still working on correcting all the flaws in my stance and stroke. I'm really enjoying seeing my game finally...

    Home pool room floor?

I offered to cut the carpet and padding under the feet, but the installer told me not to bother. If you have even a few hours with the slate on the frame, it will settle before the final leveling. The installer will make a final tweak to level even after the felt and rails are installed. You...

    Home pool room floor?

I had a table installed in a basement room with carpet (thick pad underneath). I was concerned table would settle, so we assembled cradle with slate and let sit for two weeks before completing. It's been over a year now and no issues of settling, etc. I'm glad to have the padded surface for...

When you can't get natural angle;.... do you use draw or follow?

This seems like a no-brainer to me. I'd go follow with right spin. Cheating the pocket will help. If you use draw here you'll be reversing the momentum of the cue, which means applying a greater force to the cue. More likely to miscue or make another error with additional force.

    JB Case

I've had my JB Custom Leather Mason case for several weeks now. Obviously very pleased with everything about it. Quality, appearance, functional. It's a work of art, beautiful! I wanted the clean, unadorned look without embellishments. This is exactly what I'd hoped for from the start. It took...

Jim Murnak is making a new kind of cue case

Maybe a bit off topic, but yeah, I hear you. I don't have a holster for 'every' handgun. But I have a collection of SAA (I know you know what that is) and I've made a point of getting all of them with 5.5 inch barrels so that two holsters will allow me to carry any of them. Had a very nice...

    Does it stop being fun?

Sounds like you can definitely justify a home table!

    Does it stop being fun?

Your post saddens me. I hope you can find another solution. I definitely would not drive 90 miles on a regular basis, but I've gone to other (extreme) lengths to be able to play regularly. I'm 73 and not going to win any tournaments, but I still play every day and still enjoy it. Good luck to you!

    Age Related Decline

I'm 73. Recently got a new table after several years of not having one. Took private lessons from a pro. My game is coming back. I'd say I'm 90% of my best days and still improving off the lessons. If I can spend enough time at the table, I'll be better than I ever was within months, so age...

    Owning your own table.

"Nothing in the world beats the sheer pleasure of running racks of Straight Pool . . . . playing barefoot, in your underwear, at 2 o'clock in the morning." LOL. I used to think I was the only person who did this.
