Hello, Mr M. 🙂 Great to see you back on the thread, dear fellow. Did you see the set I named in your honour, sir? The tale about the jumble sale was my rather poor effort at humour… I was just undertaking my annual polish of some favourite sets. Top row, left to right… Cardball v1 from 1987...

I saw this tabletop stall at a charity jumble sale today… all items marked up for £5. Could barely believe my luck… I’ve been searching for a GB News mug for ages!

I do sympathise with Aramith’s design team. They are on a hiding to nothing in a sense… go too far with new innovations and it alienates the purists; stick with tradition and they’re accused of not doing enough. It’s a tough gig!

In my view the design displays a few subtle nods to history, which is appropriate given this is a centenary set. There is certainly some elements of Raschig and Continental in there to my eye.

Okay, so I’ve just soaked my Raschig Darts in Dawn Powerwash… now for a quick buffing.

I’d sooner bathe in Aramith Restorer myself than let soap and water anywhere near the Raschigs, Bob. 🙂
