It’s a classic, Mr X. Congratulations on your great acquisition, sir.

    Identify these balls 😂

To the best of my knowledge EPCO pioneered this particular design around that time and cast very similar sets for various brands and retailers.

    Identify these balls 😂

Hello, Trob. At first glance, sir, I would have guessed your marbled ball set is made of Partek resin and cast by EPCO Manufacturing of Massachusetts sometime in the 1990s.

Question(s) for Bob Jewett or Dr. Dave, perhaps?

The referees are permitted to use the video replay in professional snooker nowadays, and then amend their decision accordingly if necessary. One would imagine the path of the cueball post collision is often a reliable indicator of which ball was hit first.

Question(s) for Bob Jewett or Dr. Dave, perhaps?

Good morning, gentlemen. During a snooker world championship match today it was mentioned in commentary that should the cueball simultaneously strike a red and a colour it is deemed a foul. The fact that anything very close might sometimes be difficult for the referee to judge accurately...

I’ve been endeavouring to deduce the concept from your posts, Jack, and my best guess is perhaps an updated variant of the Saratoga balls… numerals 1 through 8 on the solids and 1 through 7 on stripes, but all with traditional colours. Am I close?

It is rather confusing, Jack, but that is where feedback from platforms such as AZB can be so valuable to entrepreneurs. Surely it would be beneficial to your cause to make things a little less complicated, sir?

As explained thus far, one cannot help feel a little concerned that paying the pound for information also constitutes a commitment to purchase something blind at a later date. I’m sure that cannot be the case, of course, but that’s how it might appear.

A New Pool game...? Yes... Look inside...

Thank you for the clarification, Jack. I naturally couldn’t commit to buying a set without seeing the balls or knowing the price, sir. How does one fill in that box?

Whatever one might have thought of Pierre’s Krom concept, the gentleman was undoubtedly a very experienced and respected designer. If I’m not mistaken he was at Aramith for some time before going it alone.

A New Pool game...? Yes... Look inside...

I’ll send Jack a pound. New pool ball concepts are always of interest to me. I’m particularly intrigued to see his design and follow the Kickstarter campaign. I’ll get my money’s worth in reading alone!

A know a few gentlemen have highlighted parallels with the Bonus Ball venture, Jack, but wondered if you were also familiar with Pierre Deveaux’s Krom Premiere campaign on Kickstarter about ten years ago? From memory Pierre attracted many thousands of dollars worth of investment, but ultimately...

If you have the time, Jack, there are many knowledgeable and interesting folks on this forum’s Pool Ball Collecting thread (players, collectors, billiard industry experts, etc) who have all offered their personal views on what does (or does not) make a good ball set. Might be worth a read, sir...

Good afternoon, Jack. Here’s wishing you every possible fortune, dear fellow. Designing unique ball sets; overcoming inevitable problems during casting; lengthy delays and complicated logistics with foreign shipping and customs; before eventually delivering a desirable product to market is all...

    Pool Ball Collecting.

Hello Mr X. Anything around $250 is a fair price for the two-inch version, dear chap, but they are only viable for play on an English pool table. The smaller balls wouldn’t be suitable at all for American tables… the cushion rubbers would be too high and pockets too big. Best wishes.
