    Ambassador for Olympic Billards

First off, you will need to get a complete list of all the IOC committee members. Then allocate about 1-1.5 million dollars to each member. Small bills will not be needed, as Benjamins will work just fine. And sadly to say, this is just to get your foot in the door.

Is the Cue Market Dead Now and Forever?

I have been piddling with cues for almost 50 years. I have watched the evolution of the cue craft very closely during that time and from what I have seen, there are just not enough high rollers to sustain dealing with cues that cost a thou or more. How many have been disappointed after...

    Aluminum D-series weight bolts

I just checked a parts bin that hasn't seen daylight in years.....found a few...let me know if you still need some. As these bolts pretty rare, and I use them when someone talks me out of one of my MR, B, or C models.....this offer is to Ratcues only....sorry.

    9 ball rules question

Before you guys get into an 8-ball argument, in Texas Express 9-ball, if you pocket the lowest numbered ball while shooting, you must shoot again.

    Linen Wrap?

On this series of cues, the d-1 thru d-13 all had nylon wraps. The D14 thru D26 all came with linen or leather or cork. The cues could be upgraded to the nicer wraps for a nominal charge.

    9-Ball Chaos

Regardless of what you hear, see, or experience playing pool, the bangers are needed. And regardless of what some post on this site to the contrary.........Texas Express 9-ball was the greatest thing to happen in our sport in the last 50 years.

Help ID an old ELITE pool cue

I am not sure exactly, but Dick Coons commissioned McDermott to make a line of cues for him that had traditional steel joints and 5/16-14 threads. Some of the higher end models had chess designs like the cue shown. I believe later on, he might have outsourced the designs overseas to get the...

Impressive Finger Spinning from the 1950's

Having heard and read about the Lindrum family my entire life, I did not know that such media existed of them playing the game. What a treat.........Thanks so very much.

Who are the 'Old Schoolers' of AZ

Cardiac, I don't have lead poisoning, it was a lame attempt at humor. I learned decades ago about knocking action. Lead was an anti-knock additive. I have learned to just let people figure it out for themselves....hence no posts when there is bad info being bandied about. Most of my input...

    One-Foul vs. Two-Foul

Sorry, but I do have a clue. I played roll out 2 foul from 1969 to 1983. Only about 15 years worth. It is a great game to rob the suckers with. If I hooked myself, no prob, just roll out to something they had little chance of making. I was jumping balls with a full cue along with Earl, and...

Who are the 'Old Schoolers' of AZ

I joined in July 06....I was computer illiterate at the time....and still struggle...I think my wife or youngest son showed me which buttons to click. I don't post very much for various reasons, one of them being lead.....an anti-knock additive formerly used in gasoline. Rockin' Robin....now...

    One-Foul vs. Two-Foul

Sorry....but that is BS....being forced by the rules to play a safety. He had 2 options, shoot at the ball to make it...or play safe. The rules had no effect on his decision. And Keith did not shoot the bank, because he was playing Parica,...some history there.

    Tournament Payouts

Happy New Year to you and the CSI team. In fact, I was thinking about calling you soon...over the Cyclop Aramith ball fiasco thread....you mentioned that you still had some old ball sets. I am a player on the sets...maybe all of them, to sell in the shop and replace some Valley balls that...

    Tournament Payouts

I happen to have some guidelines for payouts, from 4 player fields to 128 player fields. Generaly one quarter of the field is paid. For our tour, we paid 3/8 of the field which brought in tons of players, and the only ones that *****-d were the top players of course. The more you pay, the more...

    First Quality Cue

There are plenty of McDermotts in your price range that have a 3/8-10 joint....and if you see a model that comes with the quick release joint, they can change it to the 3/8 joint for a nominal fee.
