WHY are some cue makers so valuable and others (better in quality) NOT so valuable?

I suppose. With shirts having the little horse and polo player on the chest makes one pay 100% more.

WHY are some cue makers so valuable and others (better in quality) NOT so valuable?

I've owned SW cues build by Jerry Franklin in the middle 80's. I've played with a Balabuska cue that I bought from a lady that had him build her one in New York, Gena cue, TAD cue and a few others. BUT the quality of Ned Morris beats the hell out of them (in my opinion). Playability, looks...

CNC machines or all by hand. Which is best? What is the cues value?

No partner now and the two cues I have pictured took him over 3 months to produce. Guess cue makers will never get wealthy.

CNC machines or all by hand. Which is best? What is the cues value?

I guess my question is: who would buy a factory made by CNC machine cue stick when they could get the "almost" hand made cue by JC or others? Did Balabuska use pantograph or CNC? How about SW? Why is their cues worth soooo much?

CNC machines or all by hand. Which is best? What is the cues value?

Does Predator use a pantograph or CNC for their $3K cues? Just curious here.

CNC machines or all by hand. Which is best? What is the cues value?

I'm very curious here and do not want to discount the cue makers that use CNC machines to do the cue work. Ned Morris is all by himself, no workers around and everything he does is by himself with his hands. Amazing cue builder in my opinion. I've got six of his cues from 20 years ago and...

Ned Morris Conversion of Titleist Cue with his Carbon 13MM shaft.

Ned Morris awesome playing cue. Notice how long the veneers are of the Titleist cue. Ned put rings in the butt and at the joint. Has adjustable weights. Ned's Evolution carbon flex shaft is better than the REVO (in my and other's opinion). 60" long. The joints on both is phenolic and...

OMEGA CUE CASE VS JB CUE CASE-

I'm writing about his 200 cases of around 2000. All leather and tooled. But, I'm not an expert but wondering about value.

OMEGA CUE CASE VS JB CUE CASE-

Better than Joe Porper's original case that he built 200? I'm wondering if this is true.

What happens when the cue maker dies. Does his cues go up?

Seems like quality cue stick builders sticks and their prices would go up after they die like artists, painters, etc. How about if they are in jail? High quality remains that way even if the artist can not make their material any more.

What happens when the cue maker dies. Does his cues go up?

I've ordered cues from Jerry Franklin in Southwest cues in early 1980's. I knew him, talked to him about ordering cues and then he died early. Does his cues go up in price after his death? I'm not sure about that as I didn't play pool for 40 years until a few years ago. Let's hear other's...
