    Sleeve vs Glove Bridge Hand

There are def sleeves for sale that you can use in place of a pool glove is so inclined. My only experience with anything like this was when I had no pool glove on a humid day but happened to be wearing a long-sleeve dry-fit shirt with a thumb hole in the cuff so it was basically the same thing...

Which Way Do You Play This Shot?

I think it was me wondering about the 5's path past the 6 but I set it up myself as best as I could and also ended up with a full pocket. The table I was on was so fast that with the backcut on the 3, playing for that corner wasn't even a reasonable option anyway as the 2 railer to play the 5...

    GoSports 6' table

This. There are plenty of things one can work on to improve their game on a dinky 6ft table that may not even accept balls well at speed. It doesn't have to be anywhere near ideal for actually playing games on to be very useful.

Which Way Do You Play This Shot?

Excellent point! Reminds me of a time when I watched a competitive tennis player friend of mine recapping a lesson's key learning points focused on stabilizing the wrist in a leveraged position. After his lesson, I asked him why he told the group something completely different about the wrist...

Happy Birthday to Me! My new EAP Custom Cue by Ed Petersen

Looks great. I love wrapless cues for the very reason u r having trouble adjusting. That extra stickiness lets me grip so loose and maintain consistent contact with the cue. Loose clasp stays put where a linen wrapped cue might slip a bit. Happy birthday!

How to tighten up my stoke.

It's what people refer to as 'spin quality', or how much spin u get relative the effort put in. I get that the physics of it says its just a matter of tip speed and contact position, so in theory, as long as u get to the same speed and manage to hit the same spot on the cb the spin will be the...

Which Way Do You Play This Shot?

So I stickered this up and tried em and flip floppin back to low right. At first I thought I'd prefer the top left on the tight and fast table I was on because I could just stroke that so gently and make the pocket big, but I ended up with hampered cueing over the 6 a couple times with that...

Which Way Do You Play This Shot?

I can't imagine that you guys set up the same shot if all 4 of his attempts hit the long rail betwween the 2nd and 3rd diamond and yours somehow sewered in the side. As diagrammed, I just don't see how any shot that meets the criteria for being called 'low-outside' could possibly find the...

Which Way Do You Play This Shot?

Interesting, bc I was firmly in the low right path camp until I saw the vid of attempts and thought I'd switch to the top left bc of the longer position window for the angle on the 3 I prefer. Looking at the rest of the run, I think playing the 5 in the corner on the 7's side makes things easy...

Which Way Do You Play This Shot?

I am not referring to those who merely prefer center-axis...that's just smart. I'm referring to those who drank so much of the kool-aid that they choose and advocate for much more difficult shots just to avoid hitting with a tip of spin. I don't know what gang rejected means, tho the...

Which Way Do You Play This Shot?

Thank you for actually shooting em and posting. Also, bonus point made on how spin makes the game easier, not harder like the center-axis cultists like to argue any time side spin gets mentioned on the internet.

How to tighten up my stoke.

Back in the day when it was very common to have 3-4 different strokes for different shots, the 'punch stroke' u describe was def top choice for stops, stuns, and any time u had to 'cinch' a shot. It isn't a finnesse stroke. It doesn't spin the ball particularly well. But it is the most...

    Survey says

Everything is offensive to someone these days. Don't sweat 'em. You just be you and stay true to the brand you've already built up and let the chips fall where they may. In general, cancel culture is getting more and more 'anti-woke' push back against it so that stuff should all pretty much...

The original rules of 9ball allowed for a pushout to be played at any time. Nobody wants that.

    Repeatable Results?

Pattern pool may be for you. Earl hates the break and how important it is and thinks pros should play pattern pool. It's a decent concept. Works nice n fast with a projector system but pretty tedious and unplayable otherwise.

    Repeatable Results?

Any little difference in angle you strike the 1 at or even ur cue speed will make a difference. That said, if you look at Orcollo's big string of racks against SVB where he was pattern racking for himself, the guy had the same runout over and over.

    Shot Line Walk Up

While I agree with the general approach of OP, any specifics on foot placement and alignment need to be taken as rough guides at best. Bert Kinister addresses the minor variations in people's setups by getting them to build their stance around their hang. His students don't all have the same...
