    New Brunswick Barbox coming

Good post. I tend to prefer the GCs over Diamonds. Problem is that Diamonds are now the standard table. Most of my 7’ pool is on Diamonds by the hour so the quarter issue isn’t there.

    New Brunswick Barbox coming

Many people aside from you. What I don’t get about your posts is this. I bet you have some insight. But all I seem to see is knocking. Why post shallow knocks? I guess knockers are part of the pool culture. I often am tempted to knock something I don’t like. As I get older though I find myself...

    New Brunswick Barbox coming

Yeah, a scaled down GC7 would be interesting.

    New Brunswick Barbox coming

I wonder if it is Brunswick or the current manufacturer. I don’t particularly like the Globals. To be fair I haven’t played on a really well maintained one. Two had horror show balls. That said, I still don’t particularly like them.

    Tony Chohan foul

If I were the house I might bar the guy calling the foul. In an action match, no, I’d leave it to the players. House added money tournament the foul caller would be at least warned that staff and their tips come before his desire to be a nit.

Interesting Insights from Rory Mcllroy's Psych Doc

Yeah, Nicklaus was the best in the mental game at least until Tiger came along. It was apparent early on how strong mentally Tiger was. I would probably still give the edge to Nicklaus but those two are ahead of everyone else. The mention of Nicklaus and Rotella looks to me that it came from...

Interesting Insights from Rory Mcllroy's Psych Doc

Well, it is a mistake I make sometimes. If I am interested in something I tend to read about it. I am not perfect about it or anything. I feel like I could better use some of the information out there. But I read and then tend to have a shelf of books on it. So I have golf and pool books. Used...

Interesting Insights from Rory Mcllroy's Psych Doc

Snead watched a presentation by Rotella. He apparently saw the value in it and supported it. Rory now has something Snead doesn’t- the career Grand Slam.

Interesting Insights from Rory Mcllroy's Psych Doc

I googled it after the post on Nicklaus. I don't think he did. But he is pretty unique in his mental abilities

Interesting Insights from Rory Mcllroy's Psych Doc

That is probably best. But a lot of guys with talent and experience have worked with Rotella or similar and won majors. Tiger probably got his mental stuff done before getting on tour, but the fact he worked with people on it has been discussed. Nicklaus was great in the mental game, but not...

Interesting Insights from Rory Mcllroy's Psych Doc

You (and WildWing) haven't read any of his stuff? I seriously thought everybody who plays something like pool or golf had.

Brunswick gold crown 7 video ..everything new walk through from the expo!

Yeah, that is a big reason I have been thinking of going to the 7’. Haven’t been in a rush because my current 8’ table is ok. It isn’t great and I want better.

Brunswick gold crown 7 video ..everything new walk through from the expo!

Gotta say I am tempted to check out an 8’ for my house when these come out. I still debate whether to get a 7’ since leagues and most tournaments are on them or get a better 8’ than my current one for the house. 3 pc slate 4.5 pockets would be the set up.

Brunswick gold crown 7 video ..everything new walk through from the expo!

I saw an interview with Oscar where he said 16 GCs were coming, essentially half the tables. He said he was happy to move tables in and out of the tournament room if a table manufacturer stepped up to sponsor a tournament. Has that changed? The interview was a little while ago. Also, his...

    What is your definition..,

Some instructors are pros, some am IMO. Randy G, Jerry Breiseth, people like that are pros IMO. I guess under my definition Dr. Dave may be a pro now. Some instructors don’t make enough or play well enough for me to consider them pros. I guess I come at it starting at an old school golf outlook...

    What is your definition..,

Problem with that in pool is everyone is a pro. Pool tournaments hand out more cash prizes than trophies. Anyone who has cashed in any tournament is a pro not an amateur under that definition.

    What is your definition..,

Makes the substantial majority of income from pool. Tournaments gambling teaching. To do it as a tournament player 800+ FargoRate is the ballpark. But a full time instructor with a 670 FargoRate is a pro in my mind. That may not clarify things.

    Gold Crown 7 Revealed

That is less than I expected. Anybody know the tariff situation? I know that is a moving target. I am thinking Rasson may have some problems. Not bringing up for the politics, just the price issues for US consumers.

    Ultimate Pool USA

Yes and no. As I have phrased it before, I think the problem is more the bar than the bar table. The problem is access. If you gave me a choice of having real access and real training to kids using only 7’ tables vs replacing every 7’ table in the US with a 9’, I would think the 7’ development...
