    Ultimate Pool USA

Since the Lucasi West Coast Tour was discussed in the thread, I’ll mention something again pertaining to bar tables. I played in the Lucasi stop last year that was played on 7’ tables. Matchroom break rules and table markings used. Turned out to be a fun event and some skeptics about the...

Cuetec Avid vs Cuetec TrueWood II butt comparison

It may not be the way to go for you, but if you like the 12.5 consider a Dakota Edition SVB model. There is a difference in the butt- a little bigger diameter. Upside is included extension. Downside is the extension is not the Duo. You can use the butt adapter and switch to Duo. If you did that...

THAT is what rules should do.

    Tony Chohan foul

Re: players’ meeting. Who has heard this rule come up in that context? My guess is nobody.

    Tony Chohan foul

Good to know. I have been playing some CSI/BCA events and have had to look at the rule book out of self defense. I have found that often those who are sure of rules and quick to call things are wrong. Also had a ridiculous ruling against our team in Vegas. Situation that I couldn’t find in the...

    Tony Chohan foul

Watched it after posting of course. Always thought that was a foul.

    Tony Chohan foul

Yeah. Lost me at WPA. Although I think this is a pretty standard rule. I just would prefer a different set of rules as the authority. I am just trying to imagine WPA honchos trying to figure out and regulate late night one pocket at Griffs or Buffalos. 😎

    Jump Cue Advice

Which is why I mentioned a $200 stick not a $500 one. 😂. Since then I have tried the Pechauer jump cue which is even a little less. Another good one, particularly for dart technique.

2nd Annual Amar Kang Memorial (APR 3- APR 6 2025)

Ernesto played great. BTW for those who didn’t watch the stream yesterday. I caught the part where Collins talked about Oscar selling the GC 3s from Hard Times. Tables should be ready September, which is a hint about GC VII readiness. 2k disassembled I think was the price. Set up your...

2nd Annual Amar Kang Memorial (APR 3- APR 6 2025)

Thanks for the reminder. I watched a bit last night after you posted. Be nice when the one pocket starts. I watched some 10 ball, but it is 😴😴😴 so boring compared to the one pocket. Yeah I said it.😀

"It's the Indian, not the arrow" the most nonsense I've ever heard.....

I will say this at the risk of sounding like I’m arguing with myself. You can’t be so fastidious about equipment that you collapse mentally if conditions aren’t right. I had that come up in a 3C tournament where my opponent, through his own fault, had to borrow a cue for our match. I won’t go...

"It's the Indian, not the arrow" the most nonsense I've ever heard.....

Anybody who wants to improve or play their best cares about equipment And Tiger could take 3 or 4 “identical” drivers from the company and pick the heavy one. Maybe a gram or two difference. Let’s take a golfer with decent practice habits to examine your point. Hogan. Hogan made sure his...

    Sang Lee Pool Cues

If I were one of those guys I would definitely pay the premium for one of those cues. “yeah, it’s my cue line.” 😇

    Sang Lee Pool Cues

Yeah I guess it’s odd. Those cues look good. Why is it that carom cues tend to have player’s signatures more than pool cues. Longoni’s top models being the best example probably. I have a Schuler Richard Bitalis model. I kind of don’t like the player signature idea though. Cuetec SVB an example...

    Prize money

And if a golfer shows up with new equipment he doesn’t have to fade all the BS about not needing to buy new stuff if he isn’t good.

    Prize money

Poker is bet your own. Even when guys trade pieces etc… Hovland’s entry fee into the Valspar was $0.

Those groups aren’t necessarily one group for the sport. NBA isn’t FIBA or the various leagues throughout the world. Your example itself has two motor sports groups and there are countless others. But yes, pool is disorganized compared to other sports.
