Because of the short collars that don't match the joint collars. Tim or Mike would not do that on a Scruggs cue. I have owned over 40 and now have 23 Scruggs cues all with matching joint and shaft collars. If you want the real Scruggs expert opinion you can ask Mr. Nick Serdula. He is Theeee...
