Low cost custom with 2 shafts

Stand out wrap for a fairly plain cue. Thanks for commenting Ron! The linen choice (from the colors I had in stock at the time this cue was completed) was meant to add a little "zing" to a fairly plain cue. I am curious though. When you say it REALLY stands out, does that mean you don't like...

Just to be clear.... So you DON'T do your final pass in one cut at full depth?

cutting inlay pockets with tiny cutters

Claification I've read all the responses and I'm still a little confused. I'd like to make sure that I understand correctly. It appears that most of you cut in multiple steps rather than plunging the cutter to full depth and making one cut. As I've found from my own experience, this...

    Ivory joint and ferrule

Exactly! That's why I don't understand the fasination with Ivory. Natural materials never have the consistancy of man-made material. I tend to think it's more a status thing to be able to say "my cue has Ivory".

cutting inlay pockets with tiny cutters

I'd love to hear how others deal with it too! I'm using one of the Wolfgang spindles on a Taig CNC mill. I just finished dealing with this problem myself. I went through $60 worth of .020" cutters dealing with a tight inside corner. I rough first with a .035" cutter and then I was...
