    State Open Tournaments?

When it comes to tournaments, if possible one needs to play where he/she belongs. Even in the right division participants are going to get the shit kicked out of em.

    State Open Tournaments?

Not interested. Tournaments at the local, regional & state level where I am from are conducted just fine without any need for drastic change.

Morra and Shaw on MR break rules and pocket size

Rory shot himself in the foot. Did you see Bryson play the 72nd hole? All sorts of bad could have happened there. He made his own luck and won the championship.

Morra and Shaw on MR break rules and pocket size

Please point to where I said anything about a luckless game. At the greatest level of play in any sport luck plays a less significant role. Shots / plays that are preceived as luck from an outside observer are deeply rooted in skill. The best at what they do create their own "luck."

Then that "other" player probably is not the best & perhaps doesn't deserve the win IMO the greater skill of the participants = way less luck involved. The particular game doesn't matter one bit. Having said that will not reduce to 0% the chance of luck entering the equation. How much luck...

There is a player in my area that just knows it all about the game of pool. If one doesn't think so, just ask the FIGJAM & he will tell ya. Trouble with all this knowledge is his pattern play & CB control is just absolutely horrible. All the knowledge in the world doesn't help at all if a...

    Tarantula billiards denver

Never been to Tarantula, so I can't give a true review of any kind. Have only visited Felt, Piazza's & Mile High Billiards, but not at 1AM. Having said, walk into the Peppermill in Cheyenne, Wy on a Friday or Saturday night at 1am & you will find over 100 people. 8 Diamond bar boxes and 1...

No a beginner does not need to learn how to hit a cue ball first. They are far better off learning how to pocket a ball by directly hitting an object ball into the pocket & moving on from there.
