Bumping this back up.
Did any of the members here make it to the sale? Anyone here any details about how it went? Just wondering, they had a very nice collection.
The only thing that gives me pause about moisture is it's only on the sugartree. Cue makers use different finishes from epoxy's and automotive finishes to tongue oil and super glue. But moisture could very well have played a part in how that specific finish reacted with the liner dye.
Honestly I'd send it to Eric for a look and possibly a refinish. I'd probably get a different case to. It looks to me like something in the finish and the liner dye just don't jive together.
You might try contacting a machine shop in your area and inquire who they use to sharpen their carbide. We have several different companies in my area that we use.
Yep ,Jerry's been building since I believe the 80's at the latest the early 90s. My Olivier is 30 plus years old. Still nice and straight and well made.
I believe it's called a J&J quick release. I'm sure it probably has a real name but I'm not aware of it. I've seen it on j&j and players cues. Probably been used on many different branded imports
Put as much information as you have.
Price, good pictures, maker/brand and any other information you have. You will not be kicked out but the listing may get deleted if the mods deemed the information to incomplete.
It's not that far out of an idea. Not saying it would or wouldn't work but there's been lots of things tried over the years. Cues with ball bearings that move, liquids inside capsules, liquid with ball bearings and let's not forget the ol limbsaver.
If you get someone to help with the social media platforms I suggest someone who knows your brand(you) and you trust. But since I don't do any social media stuff maybe navigating media is more important than knowing pool.
