Not an instructor but here is what I focus on. Straight stroke. Light "cradle" grip, clearance in my stance, slow backswing with a 2 second pause, eyes on object ball during backswing, smooth acceleration, keeping dead still no movement.
I have been taught that acceleration through the cue ball is not going from zero to sixty. It is going from zero to thirty to sixty. A smooth and gradual acceleration. It occurs in a split second and has to be practiced and refined.
I signed up almost a month ago and Dazn has blocked any attempts for me to cancel my subscription. Guess they are trying to get another payment out of me.
Get a straight cue. Good tip like Elkmaster. Then put the shaft on it you like if you want to change existing shaft. Maybe you do not want to change shafts and get used to the deflection your existing shaft has. They all have deflection. No such thing as zero deflection. Then practice...
Great insight measurement! $20.00 tips is laughable. So is $25.00 chalk. People think they can buy their way to pool excellence without putting in the work. Now let's get a $4000.00 cue so we can play like the pros.
I think the sloppiness in appearance, the overweight of some players, and non seriousness is a consideration. The tables are the same for everyone. Too much B.S. and joking around.
Jason Shaw is ruining the cup. I don't like the non serious bantering between Sky and Billy Thorpe. I don't they should play doubles together. Too much B.S. flying.
