Glen, you are right.... the bad work needs to be corrected! It's sad some of the work I come across that is done by guys that have been doing tables for years and years. I think the main problem is just lack of proper training. That's why I am very greatful to have learned a lot of this...

3M77 for covering the ball tracks and narrow crown staples for the neoprene. I can't say for sure if the installers would do it... Lining the ball return tracks is pretty easy but they might not have any extra cloth or neoprene. You'd have to supply it but it doesn't take long to install...

Jerimy Chambers supplied the formica. I believe he's also building replacement rails for Gold Crowns which I'm sure would be a high quality product!

The formica is replaceable but it is a helluva job to get it done right. I have done it to one table and it turned out nice but I wouldn't want to do it again. I had to use a power hand planer to actaully cut the old formica off. A heat gun is a PITA and ends up doing a lot of damage to the...

I use a Makita power hand planer. Makes a helluva mess but just skim off a little bit at a time and eventually you'll get it done. Much easier than a heat gun, IMO.

Sweet table for sure. Always a fun challenge to refurbish a table like this and make it better than new. Enjoy!
