    A little update

C'mon, some find it entertaining. I mean, who in their right mind goes through so much trouble to fabricate a story, trying to get everyone's admiration and adoration? Sam might be AZB's latest "Real Housewife of AZ Billiards". Too funny, lol. Eric

    A little update

Eh. I think most everyone on AZB figured this kid out a long time ago. You and I basically said what everyone wanted to. Eric

    A little update

Save your breath, Scott. This whole circus was a joke from the start. Who burns out from playing Pool in their first 7-8 months?? If anything, the whole look at me routine seems like just an elaborate, narcissistic ego boost. You know, "look how talented I am to play at this level after...

    A little update

Sounds like Sam went through the same progression, struggles and plateaus everyone on this site has. Now Sam understands too. Eric

    Ron Vitello passed away

Sad news, indeed. Ron was a good man. A little bit of a curmudgeon, lol, but a good guy none the less. The last time I saw/talked to Ron was at a tourney in PA that we were playing in, about 2 years ago. I don't think he was sick, at the time and was spending time between south Jersey and...

    Any Daz vs earl updates?

Honestly, I think this is more like the "chicken or the egg" thing. 've seen the Earl show for many years too. I've gone to the US Open and sat in the stands for mroe than the last decade (RIP, Barry) and one interesting observation I've had from the crowd, there, was that each year there...

    Any Daz vs earl updates?

I think I was watching this match too. I can't remember, but I definitely was at the US Open. I would usually get there Thursday. I'm pretty sure this match was 2003, I'd have to check my photos from that year. Eric

    Are you a pro?

Hahah! Assuming these games were "even", you would think Mika would know most players that were near his level... Wait! Is Los Angeles located in the Phillipines?? Eric

    Are you a pro?

Hahah, lol. I've got a similar story. Actually, its Steve Lipsky's story but I consider him a friend, so I hope he doesn't mind me re-telling it. Apparently, Steve was in a bar, with a bar table, with two friends. Supposedly, it was a similar situation where the local Pool badass was showing...

Almost got in a fight during a $200 game

Amen, OCD. The safest place might be the home pool table. There, you are in familiar settings, its cozy, no strangers and you know that there is only ONE nutjob in the place  Eric

    Barry Behrman Passes

Some loved him, some hated him qnd some had a love-hate relationship with him. I'll miss him, for sure. Ive gone to the US Open with a group of friends, every year, for more than a decade. Things are gonna be different. Godspeed, Barry. Eric

Corey Deuel Controversial 10-Ball break at SBE

2001 might have been Corey's best year. That year, at the US Open, Corey beat Mika 11-0 in the finals. They were using the Sardo rack, tapped in balls and Corey was soft breaking to perfection. In a past conversatoon with Mika, I got the impression that this was his bitter-est loss. Eric

Thank you ALLEN for another great SBE event.

Thanks, Allen & staff. Been going since '95 and have more good times than complaints. Eric
