Do people respect you or your pool game?

Good post. Guy on my team slack racks, talks crap, and moves around the table during opponent's shots. All during practice with his own team. It's a mystery to me. And he's an excellent player who's due to win Top Shooter this session. I don't understand why folks can't just show a little...

    A new rule?

Let the cue ball stop. Doesn't take long.

Do people respect you or your pool game?

Maybe not. But I don't care. I want to be remembered for my honesty and integrity. Pool's not important. As Tom Cruise said "It's just balls and a stick".

What's so great about the "Brain-Washing" drill?

    Good luck with that... :frown:

PJ, we finally agree on something. Well said.

Is there a way to estimate your APA skill level

Amen to that! I play in a scratch league and enjoy it. Sometimes, I get my a$$ handed to me but at least there's a lot less drama.

Is there a way to estimate your APA skill level

By then, it's too late. How many honest players have been denied a chance to play in the Nationals by under ranked sandbaggers? DQ'ing the cheats at the Nationals does nothing for the honest players who were eliminated early. The solution to this problem, IMO, is to have a reliable, honest...

Is there a way to estimate your APA skill level

Fair question. The National Office should take player complaints seriously and not just send them back to the LO, who will then usually retaliate. I know this isn't the case in all areas but it's certainly the case in many. :frown:

Is there a way to estimate your APA skill level

    I don't.

Is there a way to estimate your APA skill level

And heaven forbid you pi$$ off the LO. You and any team you play on are screwed for the foreseeable future. The LO holds all the cards and the National Office is happy as long as the cash keeps flowing. I can't tell you the number of times my players got raised heading into the semi-finals of...

Your thoughts on a "rack your own" format.....

I'm a big fan of RYO. I have a player on my team that slack racks his own teammates in practice. It's pathological.

    Philippine Cues

The finish on my Audrick cues was well done but two had the linen wrap come loose. It looked like the linen was not pinned down at each end. But they were really nice looking cues. They didn't hit bad, just not as well as the Perez.

    Mike Erwin

I know this is a double post but I thought this would get more exposure in the Main Forum. I sent two Meucci's to Mike Erwin recently that had smoke damage from a house fire. I received them back this morning. He replaced and sealed the linen wraps and refinished the butts. His did an...

    getting a cue refinished!?!

Just received two Meucci's back from Mike Erwin. They both had smoke damage from a house fire. Mike replaced the linen wraps, sealed the wraps like original, and refinished the butts. They both look absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended.:thumbup::thumbup:

    Philippine Cues

Bought several Audricks and one Perez Cue from eBay. The Perez Cue was well made and had a nice solid hit. I don't know any more about the Perez cue other than a friend of mine talked me out of it for $200. The Audrick's looked nice but I wasn't crazy about the hit. They also had a slightly...

How would you rule this? Why?

I haven't played APA in a while but I don't believe taking more than 2 time outs is a foul. The opposing captain just tells the spotter the player has no more time outs and play continues. If it's too late and advice has already been given, nothing can be done other than call an unsportsmanlike...

    Finally I'm a SL6 in APA

Agreed. Unfortunately, in some areas, the LO actually makes the problem worse by showing obvious favoritism to certain players and certain teams, which encourages more sandbagging. This puts a damper on participation. All LO's are not created equal. And the national organization doesn't do...
