I know this maybe a long shot, but you never know.
I'm looking for 1 or 2 shafts for my Scruggs 01' cue, it's a 5/16-14 screw with a brass bushing. The shaft has a single silver ring and is .832 diameter.
Peace
I've tried one with the sport grip, haven't found one to try without the sport grip.
I've heard that some people have trouble getting the cue into the case with the sport grip. The grip doesn't seem to be overly wide.
That is the question!
I currently use a Gilbert Jump/Break cue which is basically a house cue with no wrap and works fine.
Don't really want to buy the sport grip and then not like it.
Any suggestions or experience w or w/o the sport grip?
thanks
I searched but couldn't find information regarding this issue.
Is there anyone that's making new shafts for an older TS cue, or would it be best to find a local cue maker to copy one?
Thanks...
JAM, I haven't talked to Keith in awhile, we ran around for a little bit back in the day. We went to Bert Schrager's place a few times when Keith needed some work done on his cue. I remember the days back at Bob's Billiards on Orangethorpe & Magnolia along with the Blonde Bomber!
Not trying to hijack this thread, but I would've asked JAM directly but unable to send her a message. The deal was Keith was about 17 when HB took him on the road, was just curious how they would've matched up back then. This was early 70's and I think they won like 40k.
