All round players…..any better than than the Swede?

That sounds about right. My gut feeling. Shouldn't forget that Ceulemans ruled the World with .900 and 1.2 Grand Averages. Then comes along Blomdahl, Jaspers, even Sanchez played a part in really pushing MR 100 into semi retirement around 1995? 98??.. He wasn't a 2.0 player!! Why...

Just read a FB post the said "Blomdahl MAY BE one of the best players ever" LOL IMO we may not be seeing Major Tournament, General Averages of 2.0 without him. BERT??

    Soaking Leather Tips

I remember Fats saying he would keep a couple tips in his pocket. After months of handling, the oil from his skin made them better.

Never ever try to change a tip while high.

I have some knowledge and a little practice. I am nervous about buying the wet stones, holders, lapping stones, ........ Lansky does me well enough. I'm an obsessive tool nerd and need everything once I step in. Been trying my damnedest to stay away from Fly Fishing for the same reasons. I'll...

    Funny pic/gif thread...

When I grew up in this game.... Nobody would even give it a second look. Actually I think it should be allowed!! What you think of that?| I'm 5'5" and play on a 5X10, not a 4X8!

Do you carry your own cue ball to pool halls??

Tried to simply LIKE but for some reason can't. Your solution is exactly what I do but the weight load is much less. I just need 3 balls secured in a case and hooked to my cue case with a carabiner. This is another reason to move over to caroms!! Only need to carry 3 balls. Please...

Never ever try to change a tip while high.

That looks like my nightmare. I do my own cause I don't want to bother the builders in my area. Looked for single bevel blades, then looked at the Japanese blades. How do you sharpen those?

    Carved Ivory Tusk

I offered some ivory to Jim Buss 15 years ago, give or take. I know my parents purchased it in China late 70's -early 80's. I saw the stuff they came back with from their Far East trip. Saved up for 2 years to do that one. Jim didn't want anything to do with it. We were casual friends for...

    Tip instalation by hand

The grit isn't touching the shaft. It's only the paper backing. You can do the same thing with just a piece of paper. It's just a precaution

    Cue-ralysis Paralysis

All my Playing cues are from the same builder. So maybe not the experience you're looking for. I change cues every year or 5, depending on my mood. Think I'm on year 3 swinging my 15oz Dieckman.

What Do You Look For in a Pool Instructor

You know who my first real Mentor was. Before we considered ourselves true friends I decided to take his lesson course. I think it was $100 for 5 1hr lessons. Of course the lessons went longer, as he loved to talk and teach. Lesson one he says at the beginning "You're a decent player...

Anybody have any experience trying to switch your dominant eye?

Too much to read in these three pages. I haven't attempted to change eye dominance Permanently but successfully switch when needed. Of course I have to think about it. Fairly hard to get the switch. I don't have to think hard about recognizing the situation when I need or prefer the switch.

Standing on table after winning a tournament...disrespect

Nobody would stand on a table (unless a complete ass) if that table was in its permanent place. If I owned a Room and someone jumped on my table........... ??? I'm old but I think the only time I've seen players jump on a table is places like the Mosconi Cup. Yes I agree the equipment is...
