    Mike Sigel...............

I played PoolShark52 today and yesterday (Pat). He stopped by for a few days and is heading back to Fla. on Wed. Played some 10 ball and then after watching the IPT on TV we decided to play 8 ball. I tried to convince him to detour through NYC and play some games with you.I was thinking about...

What's the big deal with Custom Cues???

Mike Webb built a cue for a player in our room. I'm trying to get the player to post a picture of it here though I'm not sure the picture will do it justice. This is the most beautiful cue I have ever seen. And I mean ever seen. The finish is immaculate. I understand that Mike has a new method...

How do you make position here?

These are also very good shots. I would definitely play it this way if the path did not exists for the earlier shot described. For me personally, only because I feel more comfortable, is to go the 4th rail I described because it takes a lighter stroke and a bit more natural for me having played...

How do you make position here?

There are many wayss to play this shot as many great posts here state. I do tend to like my path because I feel most comfortable with it; START( %A[9K2%Bk7T3%CE2S5%FJ7H8%Gc7I5%IO6N6%P\5R9%Ur3H2%Vk2S 5%WV6Z2 %Xp0C8%YF0Q9%ZT4Z6%eA3a5 )END This is a common 3 Cushion shot and one worst case is...

How do you make position here?

That is a very good path. The only thing I would worry about is kicking the 6 in front of the 3. It does work very well though.

What's the big deal with Custom Cues???

I agree 100% the hit is all components fashioned together as you stated. My comment was the instance of someone stating just to put a good shaft on a low end butt. This does improve playability which is why companies do a very good business selling shafts. As noted earlier many pros are stuck...

How do you make position here?

Sorry for diagrapm. This is how I would play it; START( %A[9K2%Bk7T3%CE2S5%FJ7H8%Gc7I5%IO6N6%P\5R9%Ur3H2%Vk2S5%WV6Z2 %Xp0C8%YF0Q9%ZT4Z6%eA3a5 )END Speed is important because you will brush the 3 ball. Another way though it is almost like I would have to have the shot in front of me to...

What's the big deal with Custom Cues???

Is it possible that what is being said is the order of importance is the; 1. Tip 2. Shaft 3. Butt rather than a blanket statement about all cues play the same?

    Competitive edge, great medical discussion

I am not an expert on EMDR though volunteer work I do gives me regular access to those Drs who perform it. I ask many questions and what I do know is, it works. Recovered memories are true with EMDR and hypnosis tends to confuse people by mixing in dreams sometimes. EMDR is highly recommended by...

    Competitive edge, great medical discussion

The patient is wide awake and the reality is experts are not really 100% sure how it works, it just works. One thing though is that it is not a form of hypnosis and unlike hypnosis you can not suggest things that are not logical, unreal or impractical. Also unlike hypnosis there is no...

What's the big deal with Custom Cues???

Some very good points. I find that because I do not always bring in my cue and grab a house cue most of the time that it forces me to concentrate more. I am picky aboot the house cue I select , IE not too heavy, shaft right diameter,.. as you stated there is a fit for each of us. Bottom line I...

Anyone ever play GOLF on a snooker table?

About a year or so ago I played a player at Airport Billiards in Indiana. Enjoyed it very much. I can remember some of the rules like you must make contact with your ball (rail not required) or your opponent can make you shoot again. Lots more rules but I only posted here become it is no fun...

    Is 8 Ball Taking Over?

Am I wrong or did it seem as if Archer was struggling w/CB control last night? Like he really wasn't there mentally. (edited) I think Mike Massey had a really difficult CB game... . .

    Is 8 Ball Taking Over?

I think pro's play 8 ball more offensively on a reasonably open rack. Given clusters, they will play a pattern to break them up. However, just like in 9 ball when a run out is less likely, they will duck. 8 ball gives them lots of opportunities to break up clusters unlike 9 ball simply because...

Which game is harder to string racks in: 8 Ball or 9 Ball?

I voted 9 ball but I enjoyed watching the IPT last night on TV. The pros just do not need to overplay defensive techniques, they seem to just run out more often.

    Real Improvement

As I stated, Professional players in Football, Baseball,.. use EMDR for enhancing their game which is not trauma related. There are other uses for EMDR outside of trauma. Additionally I brought this up to prove "Muscle Memory" does exist. .
