APA LEAGUE - Rules - Im Confused

Well, yes and no. Again, ball speed is the ultimate goal in a break speed competition so long as the cue ball stays on the table, it's something to be proud of. I was breaking a half tip above center with my cue as level as possible so there is nothing else I could do but back off of the...

APA LEAGUE - Rules - Im Confused

I wasn't aiming at you with that statement  I very rarely try to hit the balls that hard so I can't remember a time after that where the cue got that high off the table. It was never my intention in the first place... I just wanted to hit them square and with as much speed as possible.

APA LEAGUE - Rules - Im Confused

It was 3/4" On a Valley table and yes I believe that's exactly what happened. The supports under the slate are irrelevant when you're taking about the impact from 6oz and a 6' drop. I'm confident the crew from Jacoby will remember. Now before we start arguing about the properties of slate I'll...

APA LEAGUE - Rules - Im Confused

Let's clarify this was initially recorded on a bar box for a break competition Jacoby had sponsored. One of my breaks the cue ball flew about 6' straight up in the air came down and landed right in the middle of the table. The next morning when we came down to the venue they were replacing the...

APA LEAGUE - Rules - Im Confused

I'm not hitting as softly as you would with a racking template but I'm by no means at 100% which has been recorded by both radar and the break speed app as 28mph+. My 20-25% is still probably around 15mph which seems to give me an abundance of control over both the cue ball and the 1-ball. There...

APA LEAGUE - Rules - Im Confused

I'm not a huge fan of handicap league play and being an APA 8/7, especially for the reasons you've voiced regarding the rules for push. However, I was practicing my break for this reason and realized so long as I make sure the first three balls are frozen in the rack front to back, I could soft...

    Is Southwest the best?

I believe those numbers to be highly inaccurate in a room filled with 64, 128 or > players. I remember hearing about how Dennis Orcullo acquired his sponsorship with Tiger. He was playing with a Southwest that he absolutely loved and low and behold, the nose warped when he brought it to the US...

This is where your "Never give up" comes into play right?

    Favorite Ferrule Material?

White Linen Melamine. I've been using the OB+ classic shafts and I don't think I would trade it for anything. It takes all the abuse I can throw at it and is easy to clean but does get dirty again easily. I like Juma but it has a noticeably softer hit compared to almost everything I've used.

    Making the wingball everytime

I don't think anyone can assume he was cheating or intentionally racking any certain way. I prefer rack your own when gambling and I have no problem with someone inspecting my rack because I do what I must to get it as tight as possible. I've had more than a couple of times where I started to...

    Heavy vs. Light Break Cue

I know that I had bought a PureX break jump and it jumped very well but I remember there being no feel like the cue was dead when breaking with it. Sold it to a friend who liked it pretty quickly but he didn't break like I do. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk

    Heavy vs. Light Break Cue

Historically I've used 18-19oz break cues and playing cues. I would agree that the shaft should have some flex but not too much as to lose power. I think 19oz is a good balance between weight and ability to get your hand moving quickly while breaking hard. I think my favorite break cues have...

    What happened to Robb Saez?

It could've very well have been the very first punch that caused the most damage... or the second or third. If he went after Shane with a weapon, all bets are off. The times I've seen Robb sober he seems very nice, laid back and jokes around.... If you're physically fighting in the pool hall...

How do I break in a everest tip?

I remember now... I was giving Sam the 6 out on table 16 and you were with Tony right next to us. If you ever want to hit some just let me know. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
